Skyboy is the second studio album by Dutch singer Duncan Laurence. It was released on 22 September 2023 by Yellowfield Records and was preceded by the singles "Electric Life", "I Want It All", the title track, and "Rest In Peace".
In an interview with Numéro, Laurence explained the inspiration behind the album: [1]
"I wanted to delve into a world where I could truly dream big. I was raised in South Holland, near Rotterdam, and the prevailing wisdom there was, ‘Be normal because you’re already crazy enough when you act normal.’ That’s the saying we lived by. So, I thought, ‘I don’t really buy into that notion.’ I just wanted to explore a world where I could authentically be myself and push the boundaries of that. Suddenly, I found myself in the world of Skyboy and Los Angeles. I need to mention that my husband, Jordan, and I got married just a month ago. We wrote everything together, and we found ourselves daydreaming about what that little boy, who grew up in a very conservative area in the States, and what I, growing up in an environment that constantly told me not to be ‘too much,’ would aspire to. What would he dream about? How would he evolve from being a ‘small-town boy’, which was the title of my first album, into a Skyboy? So, that’s the essence of the album—the journey of that boy who finally landed in Los Angeles and said, ‘You know what? Forget those opinions. Let’s create something that resonates with all my heart.’"

Pablo Cabenda from Dutch daily morning newspaper de Volkskrant rated the album four out of five stars. He noted that "the power ballad clichés are now counterbalanced by gems of melody and (vocal) harmony." [2] German music website Bleistiftrocker found that Skyboy "is characterized by clean and very fine songwriting. Choir elements are sprinkled in again and again, giving the sound a certain lightness." [3]

There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters, released on November 2, 1999, through Roswell and RCA Records. It marked the first studio credit for drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is often seen as a departure from the band's previous work, showcasing a softer, more experimental sound. Vocalist and guitarist Dave Grohl has called it his favorite Foo Fighters album, stating that it was "totally based on melody" and that the recording process was a serene experience. The album was recorded using only three musicians; Grohl, Hawkins, and bassist Nate Mendel in the basement of Grohl's home in Alexandria, Virginia.
Steven Lawrence Wynn is an American singer, musician and songwriter. He led the band The Dream Syndicate from 1981 to 1989 in Los Angeles, afterward began a solo career, and then reformed The Dream Syndicate in 2012.

Dream was an American girl group from Los Angeles, California. After a successful audition, the group signed with rapper Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records label to release their debut studio album It Was All a Dream (2001), which peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. The album was preceded by the single "He Loves U Not" which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Following conflicts with their label, their second studio album Reality (2003) did not see a widespread release and the group disbanded. Dream briefly reunited in 2015 and independently released the single "I Believe" the following year before disbanding once more.

The Essential Glen Campbell Volume Two is the second of a series of three albums which cover Glen Campbell's recordings for Capitol Records between 1962 and 1979. The tracks are presented in a non-chronological order. All three Essential CDs contain, next to single and albums tracks, previously unreleased recordings. On The Essential Glen Campbell Volume Two, these are "My Special Angel", an uptempo version of "Last Thing on My Mind", "Oh Boy" and "Don't It Make You Want To Go Home". Duncan de Moor, known professionally as Duncan Laurence, is a Dutch singer and songwriter. He represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with his song "Arcade" and went on to win the competition, giving the Netherlands its first Eurovision win since 1975. "Arcade" became one of the most successful Eurovision Song Contest winning entries on streaming platforms and international charts in recent history. Prior to Eurovision, Laurence was a semi-finalist in the fifth season of The Voice of Holland.

The This Is Why Tour was the fifth concert tour by American rock band Paramore, in support of their sixth studio album This Is Why (2023). The tour began on October 2, 2022 in Bakersfield, California, before the release of the album, with several shows throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America. Bloc Party, Rozi Plain, Foals, The Linda Lindas, Genesis Owusu and Claud served as supporting acts on the tour. It concluded on November 30, 2023.
