The film is based on the historical events after the Battle of Panipat, about the struggles of Marathas as laborers after their transfer to Balochistan.

Dil Dosti Deewangi is a 2023 Indian Marathi-language romantic drama film directed by Shirish Rane, written by Deepak Tarkar and produced by Rajendra Rajan. The film stars Smita Gondkar, Chirag Patil, Kashyap Parulekar and Veena Jagtap in lead roles. The editing was done by Amol Khanvilkar, and the cinematography is by Dhananjay Kulkarni. The music is composed by Sonali Uday, while the songs are sung by Avadhoot Gupte, Vaishali Samant, and Sonali Patel.
