Snapshots is a Canadian reality television series for children, which premiered on CBC Television in September 2016 and ran for 6 episodes. [1] Hosted by Dalmar Abuzeid, the series features kids learning photography skills through a competition to produce the best photograph in different areas of photography. [1] The series also features an online component, in which home viewers can submit their own photographs, based on challenges depicted within the show, for judging as a separate contest. [1] It continued to run on CBC on Saturdays during its CBC Kids block. It is unknown if Snapshots will be renewed for a second season.

Tele-snaps were off-screen photographs of British television broadcasts, taken and sold commercially by John Cura. From 1947 until 1968, Cura ran a business selling the 250,000-plus tele-snaps he took. The photographs were snapped in half of a normal frame of 35mm film, at an exposure of 1/25th of a second. Generally around 70–80 tele-snaps were taken of each programme. They were mostly purchased by actors and directors to use as records and examples of their work before the prevalence of videocassette recorders.

Dalmar Abuzeid is a Canadian actor. He initially became known for portraying Danny Van Zandt in Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2004 until 2010. Since Degrassi, he has appeared in a variety of television series such as Murdoch Mysteries (2014), Hemlock Grove (2015), Shoot the Messenger (2016), Crawford (2018), and The Comey Rule (2020).

The Doodlebops is a Canadian live action musical-comedy children's television series produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment for CBC Television in Canada, although the series aired in the United States on Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney from April 11, 2005 to November 17, 2007. Arnis Balčus is a Latvian photography and video artist. Born in Riga, Latvia, Balčus lived and worked in his home town before moving to London in 2004. He took an MA course on photography at University of Westminster from 2004 to 2005. He is exhibiting his work since 1994, but emerged internationally in 2003 with the photographic series Myself, Friends, Lovers and Others. Using snapshot aesthetic the series were showing the everyday life of contemporary Latvian youth. The series had numerous solo shows, for instance, at Giedre Bartelt gallery, Berlin (2003), Overgaden, Copenhagen (2003), Fotogalerie Wien, Vienna (2004), State Museum of Art, Riga (2004) and Matthew Bown Gallery, London (2005). In 2020 the series were published as a photobook by dieNacht Publishing in Leipzig, Germany.
Pinky Dinky Doo is an animated children's television series created by Jim Jinkins. It was produced and co-owned by Jinkins' Cartoon Pizza and Sesame Workshop. The series was made in association with Discovery Kids Latin America, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. For the second season, Abrams Gentile Entertainment, and the Canadian studio Keyframe Digital Productions joined as production companies. Each episode follows an imaginative pink-haired girl named Pinky Dinky Doo, her brother Tyler and pet Mr. Guinea Pig as she makes up her own stories.

Richard Chase Albertine was an American photographer. His work contributed to the elevation of snapshot-style portraits to the canon of American photography. Later in his life, Albertine focused on depictions of Louisiana's flora, documenting oaks, cypresses, swamp scenes and decaying plants. A lifelong experimenter, he often enhanced his images with the split tone technique.
