The German Institute for Economic Research, or, more commonly DIW Berlin, is a economic research institute in Germany, involved in basic research and policy advice. It is a non-profit academic institution, financed with public grants from the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research and the Federal Department for Economics and Technology. DIW Berlin was founded in 1925 as the Institute for Business Cycle Research and took its current name in 1943.

Established by James Laurence Laughlin in 1892, it covers both theoretical and empirical economics. In the past, the journal published quarterly from its introduction through 1905, ten issues per volume from 1906 through 1921, and bimonthly from 1922 through 2019. Baidyanath Misra was an Indian economist, educator, author, and administrator from the state of Odisha. He served as the Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Deputy-Chairman of Odisha State Planning Board, Chairman of Odisha's First State Finance Commission, Secretary of Odisha State Welfare Board, founder Secretary and President of Orissa Economics Association, and the founder Director and Chairman of Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies. He wrote 16 books in English and 20 in Odia. He was also a columnist in several leading Odia journals and newspapers. He organised several camps across Odisha, for helping the cause of the poor and downtrodden.
Artur Bartoszewicz is a Polish doctor of economic sciences, an expert in public policy, and a lecturer at the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics. From 2016 to 2018, he was the President of the National Board of the Polish Association of Experts and Assessors of European Union Funds. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Program Board of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security. Since 2019, he has been a Chairman of the Program Board of the Institute of New Europe. On October 15, he was appointed to the Board of the National Centre for Research and Development for 2020–2024.
