Solomon Berihu (full name Solomon Berihu Weldeslassie or Solomon Berihu Weldeselassie; born 2 October 1999) is an Ethiopian distance runner. He was on the winning Ethiopian junior team at the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
In 2016, Berihu ran 13:12.67 for 5000 metres as a 17-year old to finish 6th at the Stockholm Diamond League, scoring one point in the 2016 Diamond League season. [1]
In 2017, Berihu was a member of the Ethiopian national team at the 2017 World Cross Country Championships junior race, where he finished 14th. Though his place did not contribute to the team score, his country won the overall team standings with 17 points, beating runner-up Kenya with 28 points. [1]
At the 2018 African Cross Country Championships junior race, Berihu was the individual bronze medalist and the first finisher from Ethiopia, losing only to Rhonex Kipruto and Stanley Mburu. [3]
In 2019, Berihu won the Dam tot Damloop 10-mile in a time of 45:49. [4] As of 2022, Berihu trains with Berihu Aregawi and Haftam Abadi in Ethiopia. [2]

Priscah Jepleting Cherono, née Ngetich is a Kenyan professional runner who specialises in the 5000 metres and cross-country running. She represented Kenya in the 5000 m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is the Kenyan record holder over the two miles distance.
Tariku Bekele Beyecha is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5,000 metres and has moved up to 10.000 metres as well. He is the younger brother of Kenenisa Bekele, who is also an accomplished long-distance runner and a former world record holder in both the 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres. Tariku is the fourth fastest Ethiopian ever over 5,000 m and 3,000 metres. His indoor 3,000 m best of 7:31.09 ranks him as the ninth fastest of all-time in the event. He was the 10,000 m bronze medallist at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Lornah Kiplagat is a Dutch professional long-distance runner. She was born in Kabiemit, Rift Valley Province, Kenya and came to the Netherlands in 1999. Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon is a Kenyan middle- and long-distance runner. Kipyegon is the current world record holder for the 1,500 metres and mile, both set in 2023, and the former world record holder for the 5,000 metres. Kipyegon won a gold medal each at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 1,500 m. Kipruto is the world record holder for the 10 km road race with a time of 26:24, set on 12 January 2020 in Valencia Spain. He also places third on the half marathon world all-time list.
