"Something Like a Party" is the debut single by pop girl group School Gyrls. Produced by Jordan "Trackstorm" Houyez and Gibson Kagni and written by Rock City, the song was released on February 9, 2010. It peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart. [1]
Two music videos [2] were shot for the single, one using behind-the-scenes footage and clips from the film, and the other an original music video.
This version includes behind-the-scenes clips of the girls on set, and clips of parts of the film. This version premiered after the film premiered on TeenNick on March 19.
This version shows the girls in front of a wall with their name on it, dancing. Other scenes include the girls in a car driving to the club, along with the girls dancing in the club. The theme is about the girls able to get into the club, even though they are underage. When Jacque drops her real I.D the security guard goes into the club trying to find her, but fails. This version premiered in April 2010.

In 2014, former School Gyrls member Mandy Rain released a solo version of her band's hit single, "Something Like A Party", onto her SoundCloud page as a free download. Rain's new solo version of the song featured a new instrumental and also had new background vocals.

The School Gyrls were an American girl group that debuted in 2009. They were signed to Nick Cannon's NCredible Entertainment. The group starred in an eponymous movie that premiered on Nickelodeon on February 21, 2010. The group's self-titled debut album was released on March 23, 2010. The album peaked at number 118 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and was preceded by the singles "Something Like a Party" and "Get Like Me". Later that year, the group released another movie called "A Very School Gyrls Holla-Day", which coincided with the release of the album of the same name. Shortly after this, two of the group's original members Mandy Rain and Jacque Pyles, decided to leave to pursue solo careers. They were replaced by Brittany Oaks and Natalie Aguero.

"Auld Lang Syne (The New Year's Anthem)" is a song by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey from her second Christmas album/thirteenth studio album, Merry Christmas II You (2010). The second single from the album, an extended play consisting of nine remixes was released by Island on December 14, 2010. Using the Robert Burns poem "Auld Lang Syne," Carey along with Randy Jackson and Johnny "Sev" Severin (of RedOne) composed a new arrangement, added lyrics and re-titled it. The track garnered a negative response from critics, all of whom disliked how Carey had changed the poem into a house song. An accompanying music video was released featuring a pregnant Carey singing in front of a background of exploding fireworks.
