Somos Distribution, LLC, is a global audiovisual content distribution company serving broadcasters and Internet delivery services worldwide. The company is headquartered in Miami, Florida with offices in Spain and Chile. According to TTV Media News, Somos Distribution has sales associates in each of the major regions of the Western Hemisphere and in Europe. The company is part of Somos Group and headed by Luis Villanueva. [1] [2]

History

Somos Distribution was founded in 2009 by Luis Villanueva [3] and it is part of SOMOS Group (together with SomosTV , SOMOS Productions, SOMOS Next, SOMOS Films) and SOMOS Fast. The company represents more than 10,000 hours of programming from around the world including various major European, Turkish, Latin American and Asian broadcasters and content producers. The company features popular Turkish dramas, telenovelas, biopics and television series from Latin America, Spain and Asia. The firm's catalogue includes movies (feature films) from distributors of independent films, series such as "Hasta Que Te Conocí", [4] "Súbete a Mi Moto" [5] , @Gina Yei: WithAllMyHeartAndMore and sports like Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) . In addition it licenses and sells telenovela scripts and concepts as television format from rights holders from Latin America, Turkey and Asia. [6] [7]

Somos Distribution distributes content in all windows: Free TV (Terrestrial television), Pay TV, Video on Demand, Pay-Per-View, mobile television and Internet television. [3]

Distribution/Content

Somos Distribution distributes various types of programming including dramas, movies, television formats, programs (such as episodic series), telenovelas, variety shows, documentaries, sports and news, among others. The content is produced by related companies such as SOMOS Productions as well as produced by in-house production organizations as well as by European and American companies. [2] [8] [9]

Somos Distribution represents the following companies: Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals., 2B/Enchufe.tv., Antena Group, SA / TV3 Catalunya, Novocomedy, and People Guiding Media. In the year 2020 started to distribute RCTV International [10] content catalog.

Oscar Neftalí Sallaberry Valls and Fernando Ramón Sallaberry Valls, are Puerto Rican singers and actors who were part of the original lineup of the band Menudo. Nefti and Fernando are the sons of Santiago Sallaberry, a doctor in oncology.

El Reencuentro was the name that six ex-members of musical group Menudo used for their comeback project remembering Menudo's golden era. Ricky Melendez, Rene Farrait, Miguel Cancel, Johnny Lozada, Ray Reyes, and Charlie Masso re-joined to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their success in Latin America, North America, Spain and several other countries in the world. They started in 1998 as an experimental project and they had an unexpected success that continued until 2015 through North and Latin America.

Sube a mi Motora is song by Menudo from their 1981 album Quiero Ser. It became arguably the album's most popular song, topping the charts in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Venezuela. It is considered by many Menudo fans to have been the group's best song ever and their signature song. Rene Farrait was the lead singer for this song.

Nova is a Spanish television channel operated by Atresmedia. The network runs 24 hours a day in the Spanish language. The service is aimed at women, with the schedule reflecting this aim. Lifestyle programmes such as cooking shows are normally screened during the day. In the evening, films and some series are shown, and around midnight, Poker is screened. The network is available on digital terrestrial television as well as via cable and satellite.

It premiered on July 31, 2017, and it stars Samantha Siqueros, Stefano Ollivier, Isabella Castillo, Scarlet Gruber and Leo Deluglio. The series revolves around Victoria a young girl with a dream of becoming a great pilot of Formula 1.

Súbete a Mi Moto is a biographical streaming television series about the Latin boy band Menudo. The series narrates the history of the band from its creation to its evolution and international success. Menudo was the band that launched music stars such as Ricky Martin and others. Consisting of 15 episodes of 60 minutes each, the series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on October 9, 2020, in Mexico, Latin America, and Spain. In the United States, the series premiered on Estrella TV on February 14, 2021.
