The Philippines men's national basketball team,commonly known as Gilas Pilipinas,is the basketball team representing the Philippines. The team is managed by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

He previously served as the sixth commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association from 2003 to 2007. Before he became the commissioner of the league,he was a play-by-play commentator of Viva-Vintage Sports,which broadcasts the PBA Games,from the early 1990s until 2002.
