Sonya Hussyn Bukharee is a Pakistani actress. She made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 2011 television series Dareecha . [1] She then played leading roles in several hits series, including Mujhay Sandal Kar Do (2012), Mein Hari Piya (2013), Mere Hamrahi (2013), Shikwa (2014), Marasim (2014), Nikah (2015), Farwa Ki ABC (2015), Nazo (2015), Surkh Jorra (2015), Kisay Chahoon (2016), and Haasil (2017). Hussyn's career progressed with the acclaimed series Aisi Hai Tanhai (2017) and Tinkay Ka Sahara (2022), and the comedy drama film Tich Button (2022). The first of these earned her two Lux Style Award nominations.

Early life

Hussyn was born in Karachi into a Sindhi family. Her father is a businessman in construction works and mother is a housewife. Her grandmother was chief manager at House Building Finance Company. She has two sisters and one brother.[ citation needed ]

Career

Hussyn has appeared in television series aired on ARY Digital and Hum TV. She is known for her work on the series Mere Hamrahi , Mein Hari Piya , Marasim , and Angeline Malik's Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain. Moreover, she is known for portraying supporting roles in Meri Behan Meri Dewrani , Nadamat , Dareecha , Umm-e-Kulsoom and Shehryar Shehzadi . [2] [3] She has appeared in period drama Aangan portraying the role of Salma telecast on Hum TV. [4] She made her debut on the big screen with Jami's Moor in which she played the supporting character of Amber and later starred in the leading role in Azaadi . [5] She has since starred in the films Tich Button (2022) and Sorry: A Love Story (2023). [6] [7]

Dareecha is a Pakistani horror-mystery soap television series that aired during 2011–12 on ARY Digital. It was produced by Abdullah Seja and Jeerjes Seja under Idream Entertainment. It featured Fazila Qazi, Sana Askari, Imran Aslam, Yasir Hussain Sonya Hussyn in pivot roles.

Mansha Pasha is a Pakistani actress and television presenter. She is known for her supporting roles in several critically and commercially successful television series, including Shehr-e-Zaat (2012), Madiha Maliha (2012), Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2013), Virasat (GEO) (2013) and Mera Naam Yusuf Hai (2015). Siwaiyaan is a Pakistani telefilm that released on Eid ul Fitr 2022 on ARY Digital. It is directed by Bilal Atif Khan in his directorial debut who also wrote the film. It stars Sonya Hussyn and Yasir Hussain in leading roles.
