Sotahuuto (Finnish for "battle cry" or "war cry") is the sixth studio album by the Finnish black metal band Horna. It was released on November 6, 2007 by Grievantee Productions on CD, by Deviant Records on vinyl, which were limited to 500 copies, [4] and by Moribund Records. [1] The album was a tribute to Bathory and was written in spring 2004. [2] [4]

HIM was a Finnish gothic rock band from Helsinki, Finland. Formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo and bassist Mikko "Mige" Paananen under the name His Infernal Majesty, the band broke up in 1993, before being reformed in 1995 by Valo and guitarist Mikko "Linde" Lindström. After being rejoined by Mige, as well as new additions keyboardist Antto Melasniemi and drummer Juhana "Pätkä" Rantala, the band, now called HIM, released their debut album Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666 in 1997. In 2000, now with drummer Mika "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen and keyboardist Juska Salminen, the band released the album Razorblade Romance, which reached the number one spot in Finland, Austria and Germany. Their first single, "Join Me in Death", also charted at number one in Finland and Germany, eventually going platinum and gold respectively. Following the addition of Janne "Burton" Puurtinen on keyboards, HIM released Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights and Love Metal in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Both cracked the top ten in several countries, and allowed the band to tour the United Kingdom and the United States for the first time.

The British version also has a re-recorded version of "It's All Tears ". The digipak version of this album comes with a DVD with six songs live at Semifinal Club in Helsinki.

Gothic metal is a fusion genre combining the heaviness of heavy metal with the dark atmospheres of gothic rock. The music of gothic metal is diverse with bands known to adopt the gothic approach to different styles of heavy metal music. The genre originated during the early 1990s in the United Kingdom originally as an outgrowth of death-doom, a fusion of death metal and doom metal. Lyrics are generally dark and introspective with inspiration from gothic fiction as well as personal experiences.

WarCry (band)

WarCry is a Spanish power metal band led by founder, singer, and songwriter Víctor García. Formed in 2001 when García and drummer Alberto Ardines were ejected from Avalanch, the band has since released seven studio albums and two live albums, with an eighth studio album currently in progress. WarCry has had a fluctuating lineup with García as the sole constant member. The band has been acclaimed as one of Spain's most famous heavy metal acts and has won numerous awards in both Spain and Latin America.

Sanojesi Äärelle is the seventh studio album by the Finnish black metal band Horna. It was published by Debemur Morti Productions on September 29, 2008. The Digi-CD-version was released via Moribund Records. while the vinyl version was handled through Deviant Records by being limited to 666 copies - 150 of them in coloured vinyl, that meant first ones in green vinyl, second ones of them in clear vinyl. Each record comes in separate single cover sleeve, with lyric sheet and a flyer. A tape version was publicized and bounded to 15 copies. It's the last Horna album to feature Corvus on vocals.

Víctor García (Spanish singer) Spanish singer and songwriter

Víctor García is the lead vocalist and songwriter for the heavy metal band WarCry. He is the central figure and sole original member of WarCry and a former Avalanch lead vocalist, being considered one of the best Spanish metal singers. García has often cited that his biggest and most important influences are Stryper, Manowar, and Virgin Steele.

Shatraug musician

Ville Pystynen, also commonly known by his main stage name, Shatraug, is a Finnish-born musician. In 1993, he formed the Finnish black metal band Horna. Besides Horna, Pystynen has played in several bands of different genres of metal. He founded and has played bass and guitar for Sargeist since 1999. He is also known for playing bass and guitar for Behexen from 2004-2015. Pystynen also has several solo and smaller projects which, in some, he plays all instruments and sings for.
