Deshabandu Kameradin Susanthika Jayasinghe is a Sri Lankan retired sprinter, who specialised in the 100 and 200 metres. She won the Olympic silver medal for the 200m event in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, the second Sri Lankan to win an Olympic medal after Duncan White and the first Asian woman to win an Olympic or World Championship medal in a sprint event. She is also the only Asian athlete to have claimed an Olympic medal in sprint events. She is also the first and only Sri Lankan to win a medal at the World Athletics Championships. Her silver medal achievement at the 2000 Sydney Olympics also stood as the only Olympic medal for a South Asian in athletics event for 21 years before Neeraj Chopra's gold medal achievement at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She is fondly nicknamed as the Asian Black Mare. She has represented Sri Lanka at the Olympics on three occasions in 1996, 2000 and 2008. She is considered one of the most decorated sprinters in Sri Lanka. However, she is also a deemed as a controversial figure in Sri Lanka.

The Blue Choir of Sam Ratulangi University is a students choir of Indonesia that consists of around 50 singers selected from full-time engineering students at Sam Ratulangi University. Between auditions, each new choir meets around six times to learn new repertoire, tour both urban and rural parts of North Sulawesi, provide choral workshops for schools and to tour internationally. The choir has received international attention and critical acclaim from overseas audiences but limited publicity in Indonesia itself. Tigran Hekekyan is an Armenian conductor and music professor. He is the founder, artistic director, and principal conductor of the Little Singers of Armenia choir, as well as the founder and president of the Armenian Little Singers International Association. Hekekyan is a professor of conducting at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. He also serves as the director of the Sayat-Nova Music School.

By being a judge at the 9th World Choir Games, she also became the first Sri Lankan to be a judge at any international musical competition.
Emeka Nwokedi is a Nigerian conductor and music director. Since 1995, he has been the conductor and music director of Muson Centre. In February 1988, he co-founded Lagos City Chorale.
