Soulhead (stylized as SOULHEAD) is the first self-titled album by Soulhead. It is their first album under the Avex label, having previously been under Sony Music Entertainment Japan's sub-label onenation. It became their second lowest charting album, only reaching #40 on Oricon and staying on the charts for four weeks. [1]
Soulhead is the female duo's first original studio album since 2006's Naked and is their first album under the Avex label. They were previously under Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
This is also their first album to not contain any preluding singles, which may have been one of the factors towards the album's low ranking. The album was only released in CD format with none of the songs containing music videos. [2]
The album is predominantly R&B and hip hop.

Ami Suzuki is a Japanese recording artist, DJ, and actress from Zama, Kanagawa, Japan. Having been discovered at the talent TV show Asayan, she was one of the most popular female teen idol in the late 1990s. However, in 2000, Suzuki faced legal problems with her management company resulting in a controversial blacklisting from the entertainment industry. Suzuki attempted to resurrect her career under her own steam with two indie singles before signing to Avex Trax in 2005. She released "Delightful", a dance song that reached No. 3 on the Japanese Oricon charts with a style similar to electronic club music, significantly different from her pop idol days. Since her appearance in the 2006 film Rainbow Song, Suzuki has gradually made a name for herself in the acting field, starring in various movies, television series, and musicals.
"D.D.D." is a song recorded by Japanese recording artist Kumi Koda, taken from her second greatest hits album, Best ~second session~ (2005). It contains guest vocals from Japanese music duo Soulhead. It was written by Soulhead members and sisters Yoshika and Tsugumi, with production being done by Octopussy. The song is Kumi's first collaborative effort since her single "Hot Stuff" with Japanese rapper KM-MARKIT, which was released a month prior. As part of Kumi's 12 Singles Collection releases, "D.D.D." premiered on December 21, 2005 as the third single from the album. The CD cover sleeve has Kumi wearing a black mini-dress and headdress. The cover sleeve is to represent the country United Kingdom, and its symbolism of Britannia.
Soulhead is a Japanese urban contemporary/R&B duo consisting of sisters Yoshika Sawayama (よしか) and Tsugumi Sawayama (つぐみ). Both were born in Hokkaidō; Yoshika was born on July 20, 1978 and Tsugumi was born on January 25, 1981. Since their debut, they have worked with several well-known artists, including Sowelu, Koda Kumi, Crystal Kay and Ken Hirai.
Best: Second Session is the second Greatest hits album released by Japanese R&B-turned-pop singer Koda Kumi. It was released in March 2006 and contained all of her singles used in her 12 Singles Collection. It charted at #1 on the Oricon charts, making it her second album to reach the spot, and stayed on the charts for seventy-eight weeks.
"Baby Don't Cry" is a song recorded by Japanese recording artist Namie Amuro for her eighth studio album, Play (2007). It was written, composed, arranged, and produced by Japanese musician Naoaki Yamato, under the alias Nao'ymt. The single also included the B-side track "Nobody", a re-recorded version of her single "White Light". It premiered on January 24, 2007 as the third single from the album in Japan. It was also released worldwide on February 21, 2007 through Avex Entertainment Inc. Musically, "Baby Don't Cry" is a pop ballad, influenced by R&B music.
"Anytime" is the 39th single released by Japanese artist Koda Kumi. It was released on January 23, 2008, a week prior to the release of her sixth studio album Kingdom. Michiko Sellars, known by her stage name MiChi, is a Japanese British pop singer who began her career as an independent artist, but later signed to Sony Music Entertainment.
Pray/XXX is the thirteenth single by the female duo Soulhead from their third studio album Naked. The main track, "Pray," was an R&B mix, while "XXX" was an upbeat pop/hip-hop mix featuring artist Koda Kumi. The single charted at No. 22 on Oricon Weekly.
Naked is the third album by female duo Soulhead and was their last studio album with Sony Music Entertainment Japan, whereas they moved to Avex afterwards. Their final album under SMEJ was a compilation album, Best of Soulhead. The album reached #5 on the Oricon Weekly charts, but dropped to #19 for the monthly ranking. It was also their first album to be released in both CD and CD+DVD format.

My Anthem is Soulhead's Yoshika's debut solo album. The album reached No. 286 on the Oricon charts in a one week stay on the chart. The album was only released as a CD.
Best of Soulhead: 5th Anniversary Tour is Soulhead's second concert DVD and third DVD overall. The tour coincided with their album Best of Soulhead and consisted of twenty-four songs performed at each location. The concert placed on the DVD was performed at Zepp Tokyo on May 27, 2007. During the tour, each sister performed a new song: Yoshika performed YOSHIKA Solo and Tsugumi performed Street Walking during her rap medley.
"Fukkatsu Love" (復活LOVE) is the 48th single by Japanese boy band Arashi. It was released on February 24, 2016 under their record label J Storm. "Fukkatsu Love" was used as the background song for the NTT DoCoMo d hits commercial. The single sold over 485,000 copies in its first week and topped the weekly Oricon Singles Chart. "Fukkatsu Love" was certified for Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
God Sista is LISA's first concept album and fifth overall album. It was released nearly a year after her last album, Kaze no Ongaku 〜Radiating from an N.G.O.〜, though the latter album had been released by her previous record label Tokuma Japan Communications. The album charted at No. 90 on the Oricon Albums Charts and remained on the charts for five weeks. The album has sold 7,653 copies.
