South India Reformed Churches

The South India Reformed Churches is a conservative Calvinist denomination in south India. This denomination is located in Andhra Pradesh and is a Calvinist church mission of the United States. It has 8 congregations with many children's homes. [1]

The denomination was formed in 1993 by a former Baptist pastor, Rev Abraham wo become more and more convinced of the Calvinist faith, including paedobaptism. Meanwhile, 3 small congregations were established in Bagalur, Salem and Bangalore. It places high priority of evangelization among Hindu people. The Presbyterian Theological Seminary in India provides the theological training. Sister church relations with the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) was established. [2]

In Tamil Nadu state of India there are 3 congregations. In 2011 6 independent congregations joined the small federation. In 2012, another 6 congregations and pastors joined the church. Most of the churches growing visible. In six cities, there are church planting projects. [3]

It is a member of the World Reformed Fellowship. [4]

Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated)

The Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) are an orthodox Calvinist federation of churches. This church body arose in 1944 out of the so-called Liberation from the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, when many pastors and members refused to go along with the General Synod's demand to hold to "presumed regeneration of infants" at their baptism. Klaas Schilder played an important role in the Liberation. There are currently 270 affiliated local congregations with a total of about 120,000 members in 2016.

Restored Reformed Church

The Restored Reformed Church is a Calvinist denomination in the Netherlands. It was founded in 2004, from congregations which made up the orthodox-reformed wing of the Dutch Reformed Church; they had previously been part of groups named Het Gekrookte Riet and the still existing Gereformeerde Bond within the Dutch Reformed Church. The Church has grown steadily since its founding.

The Gereja-Gereja Reformasi di Indonesia or the Indonesian Reformed Churches is a confessional Reformed church in the country of Indonesia established by orthodox Calvinist Dutch missionaries.

The Presbyterian Church in Korea (KoRyuPa) is an orthodox Calvinist denomination in South Korea. The church is also known as the Korean Reformed Presbyterian Church. The denomination was a result of the split of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (Koshin) due tensions in the KoRyu Seminary. Pastor Park Yun-Sun moved to Seoul and founded the Reformed Theological Seminary. To avoid division Park returned to Koshin but Chung Hun-Teuk took over as the director in the Seminary. In 1965 about 50 pastors was associated with the Seminary. The denomination has close contact with conservative Reformed churches in Japan, Netherlands and the United States. The church has approximately 80,000 members in 500 congregations and 16 presbyteries. No women ordination. It had 501 ordained ministers. The church subscribes the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Apostles Creed. Since 1977 the leading figure of the church has been Yoo Don-Sik, who also directs the Reformed Theological Seminary too.

Reformed Congregations

The Reformed Congregations is a conservative Calvinist church with 152 congregations in the Netherlands, 1 in Randburg South Africa and 1 congregation in Carterton, New Zealand. The denomination has approximately 107,299 members as of 1 January 2015. It is a Pietistic Calvinist Church. It is affiliated with the North American Netherlands Reformed Congregations.

The Reformed Church in Japan is a confessional Calvinist denomination in Japan. It was formerly a member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, but it chose to suspend its membership.

Old-Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands

The Old-Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands is a pietistic Reformed denomination in the Netherlands.

The Free Presbyterian Church, Kalimpong is a conservative Reformed and Presbyterian church in northern India. In this part of India the Church of Scotland missionaries did large mission work since 1870. This mission withdrew from the country in 1948. In 1970 several Christian denomination become part of the Church of North India. This denomination accepted the episcopal church government. Opposition against this government grew significantly in different areas to form a new denomination. In 1972 the Free Presbyterian Church, Kalimpong was formed as a separated church. It expanded rapidly and an addition of 4 congregation were instituted. Later a Presbytery was formed. Two districts were formed the Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Now it has 22 congregations and 35 not yet instituted churches, 9 pastors 30 full-time and 12 part-time evangelists. Sister church relations with the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) was established in May 2005.
