Southside District

The AA Southside District is one of the four districts of AA Region I of the Virginia High School League. While most of the other teams in Region I are located in Hampton Roads, these high schools are found in the Southside region of Virginia southwest of Richmond. The schools in the Southside District compete with the schools in the AA Battlefield District, AA Bay Rivers District, and the A/AA Eastern Shore District. [1]

The AA Northwestern District is a high school conference in the state of Virginia that includes Frederick County and Warren County. The Northwestern District member schools compete in Region II with the schools from the AA Dulles District, AA Jefferson District, and AA Evergreen District.

Southside High School is one of 14 public high schools that are part of the Greenville, South Carolina County Schools System. It is the first school in South Carolina to be home to an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), along with the affiliated Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA), is an organization which administers junior and senior high school sporting events in Tennessee. The TSSAA is the only high school athletic organization in the United States to have a five-sport, Olympic-style spring sport championship tournament, known as Spring Fling, for baseball, softball, track and field, team and individual tennis, and soccer. Spring Fling began in Chattanooga in 1993, later moving to Memphis, and then establishing itself in Murfreesboro. The TSSAA was one of the first high school athletic organizations to host a central site for football championships, beginning in 1982.

The AA Valley District is a district in Region III of the Virginia High School League. As the district's name implies, all the schools are located in the central part of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, along Interstate 81. Most of the member schools are part of the Harrisonburg and Staunton areas.

The AAA Western Valley District was a high school conference in the state of Virginia that included the small number of schools in Central and Southwest Virginia which competed in Group AAA, is largest enrollment class of the Virginia High School League.

The AA Blue Ridge District is a district in the Region III of the Virginia High School League. The district is centered around the Roanoke Valley in Southwest Virginia and is named for the Blue Ridge Mountains, which feature prominently in the region's geography.

The Bay Rivers District is an athletic district of the Virginia High School League which includes schools in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area. The district was formed in 1990 with the consolidation of schools from the York River District and Peanut District schools. The schools in the Bay Rivers District compete in 2A, 3A, and 4A. Since 2013, the district is only used for the regular season.

The AA Piedmont District is a high school conference of the Virginia High School League that includes schools from Southwest and Southside Virginia, mostly in the Martinsville and the Danville areas. The schools of the Piedmont District compete in AA Region IV with the schools in the AA River Ridge District and the AA Southwest District. Until the 1990s, the AA Piedmont District was a member of AA Region III but was moved to balance the number of schools in the VHSL's AA regions. Due to declining school enrollment, Dan River High School became a member of the A Dogwood District beginning in the 2007–08 school year.

The Southwest District is a high school conference of the Virginia High School League that includes schools from southwestern Virginia, United States. The Southwest District was established in the former AA Region IV.

The James River District (JRD) is a high school athletic conference of the Virginia High School League with most schools based in the Southside Virginia region. All of the James River District schools are relatively small with enrollments under 1,000. The schools in the James River District compete in A Region B with the schools of the A Bull Run District, A Dogwood District, and the A Shenandoah District.

Southampton High School is a public high school located in Courtland, Virginia, United States, in Southampton County, west of Franklin and east of Emporia. It is part of Southampton County Public Schools. The school's current facility opened in 1993.

Greensville County High School is a public high school located in Emporia, Virginia, serving that city and Greenville County. It is part of the Greensville County School Division and opened in 1976. Athletic teams compete in the Virginia High School League's AA Southside District in Region I.

Brunswick High School (BHS) is a public high school located in Lawrenceville, Virginia community in Brunswick County, Virginia. It is part of the Brunswick County Public Schools and opened in 1976. Athletic teams compete in the Virginia High School League's AA Southside District in Region I. According to U.S. News, Brunswick High School's student body makeup is 51 percent male and 49 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 80 percent. Brunswick High is the only high school in the Brunswick Co Public Schools.

Southside Charter High School, also known as Southside High School, is an accredited comprehensive public secondary school for students in grades 10 through 12, located in the city of Southside, Arkansas, a city in Independence County. The school is the sole high school managed by the Southside School District. The school is sometimes referenced as Southside Batesville to distinguish itself from the Fort Smith Southside High School and South Side High School.
