Southwest Allen County Schools (SACS) is a school district in Indiana serving the townships of Aboite and Lafayette in Allen County, including the areas incorporated into Fort Wayne.
SACS has six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, and one virtual school serving middle- and high-school students. [2] Its current superintendent is Kent DeKoninck. Elementary students are sometimes taken on field trips to Center School, a historic one-room schoolhouse and the chief symbol of the district, and may also visit the Allen County Courthouse, in order to learn about their local judiciary system.
Tippecanoe County is a county located in the west-central portion of the U.S. state of Indiana about 22 miles east of the Illinois state line and less than 50 miles from the Chicago and the Indianapolis metro areas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 186,251. The county seat and largest city is Lafayette. It was created in 1826 from Wabash County portion of New Purchase and unorganized territory.

Center School, sometimes called the Old Center School, is a historic one-room schoolhouse in Allen County, Indiana. It was built in 1893 at the center of Aboite Township, and became the foundation of Southwest Allen County Schools.
