The Southwestern Buckeye League (SWBL) is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) sports conference made up of schools located in southwestern Ohio, mainly around the greater Dayton and Cincinnati areas. It was established in 1944.

Montgomery County is in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. At the 2020 census, the population was 537,309, making it the fifth-most populous county in Ohio. The county seat is Dayton. The county was named in honor of Richard Montgomery, an American Revolutionary War general, who was killed in 1775 while attempting to capture Quebec City, Canada. Montgomery County is part of the Dayton, Ohio, Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Preble County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 40,999, down 3.0% from the 2010 census population of 42,270. Its county seat is Eaton. The county was formed on February 15, 1808, from portions of Butler and Montgomery Counties. It is named for Edward Preble, a naval officer who fought in the American Revolutionary War and against the Barbary Pirates.

Oakwood High School (OHS) is a public secondary school in Oakwood, Montgomery County, Ohio. As of the 2023–2024 school year, there are around 700 students. The school mascot is the Lumberjack.

Bellbrook High School is a public high school in Sugarcreek Township / Bellbrook, Ohio area in the United States. It is the four year high school of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local School District, which is rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education. The school serves grades 9–12. Their mascot is the Golden Eagle and their colors are purple and gold. Their primary athletic rivals are Oakwood and Valley View.
Milton-Union High School is a public high school in West Milton, Ohio, United States. Its name is derived from the town in which it lies, and the township which it serves. It is the only high school in the Milton-Union Exempted Village Schools district. The school's mascot is a bulldog.

Eaton High School is a public high school in Eaton, Ohio, U.S. It is the only high school in the Eaton Community School district. The district lies entirely within Preble County and serves students within the City of Eaton along with portions of Washington, Gasper, Dixon, and Israel Townships. The High School is located at 600 Hillcrest Drive, Eaton, OH 45320.

The Central Buckeye Conference is an OHSAA athletic league whose members are located in the Ohio counties of Champaign, Clark, Logan, Madison, and Union. The league was established in the fall of 1974.
