Speedway Miramichi is a 1/3-mile short track located in Miramichi, New Brunswick. [1] The track originally opened as a dirt track called Douglastown Speedway but was paved in 1968. The track closed a few years after opening in 1974. The track was reopened as Williston Speedway. The track ran races with large crowds[ clarification needed ] for years as the track continued improvements. The track also went through several name changes including McKay's Speedway and Miramichi Speedway. In 1997 the track was sold to Reg Tozer and renamed Miramichi City Speedway. Shortly after, the track started running demolition events instead of stock car racing. The track shut down following the 2009 season. The track sat dormant for two seasons with the exception of one race weekend in September each year. [2] In late 2011, the track was sold to Jason Carnahan and David Neilson. The owners renamed the track Speedway Miramichi and have made continuous improvements to the facility, [3] which is currently running 5–6 races per season. [4] The track once had a well known sportsman race called the Brunswick 100.
The Irwindale Speedway & Event Center is a motorsports facility located in Irwindale, California, United States. It opened on March 27, 1999, under the official name Irwindale Speedway. Toyota purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2008, and from that time until 2011 it was also known as the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
Dover Motor Speedway is a race track in Dover, Delaware. The track has hosted at least one NASCAR Cup Series race each year since 1969, including two per year from 1971 to 2020. In addition to NASCAR, the track also hosted USAC and the Indy Racing League. The company was founded by Bruton Smith and has its headquarters at Charlotte Motor Speedway, in Concord, North Carolina, just north of Charlotte. Speedway Motorsports owns nine racing facilities with a combined seating capacity of approximately 885,000. Nazareth Speedway is a defunct auto racing facility near Nazareth in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania which operated from 1910 to 2004 in two distinct course configurations. In its early years, it was a dirt twin oval layout. In 1987 it was reopened as a paved tri-oval that measured just slightly under 1 mile.

The Manzanita Speedway was a dirt track racing facility located in the suburban southwestern part of Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The facility had a 1/3 mile and 1/2 mile tracks. The track held USAC events up through the 2009 Sprint Car season opener. The track was sold to a rigging company and the final race was held on April 11, 2009.
Iowa Speedway is a 7/8-mile (1.4 km) paved oval motor racing track in Newton, Iowa, approximately 30-mile (48 km) east of Des Moines. Williams Grove Speedway is a half-mile dirt racing track located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. The speedway opened on May 21, 1939, it has been owned by the Hughes family for over 50 years and has hosted many of the most notable national touring series and some of those most prestigious races in the country. The speedway is entering its 81st year of operation, with racing every Friday from March to October and other special events. One of these special events is the $75,000 to win National Open for sprint cars sanctioned by the World of Outlaws racing series held in late September or early October each year.

The 2020 Drydene 311 was a NASCAR Cup Series race that was originally scheduled to be held on May 3, 2020, but postponed to August 22, 2020, at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. Scheduled to be contested over 400 laps but shortened to 311 laps because of the 500-kilometer doubleheader format used on the 1-mile (1.6 km) concrete speedway, it was the 24th race of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. It was the first 300-mile Cup Series race since 1970 at Dover.
The second race of the 2020 Drydene 200 doubleheader was the 21st stock car race of the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and the 35th iteration of the event. The race was originally going to be held on August 22, 2020 but was delayed by a day due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The race was held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Dover, Delaware at Dover International Speedway, a 1 mile permanent oval-shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 200 laps to complete. At race's end, Chase Briscoe of Stewart-Haas Racing would come to dominate and win the race, the 8th NASCAR Xfinity Series win of his career and the 6th of the season. To fill out the podium, Ross Chastain of Kaulig Racing and Austin Cindric of Team Penske would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
