Spring Offensive (band)

Spring Offensive were an indie rock band based in Oxford and London, UK. The band were active between 2009 and 2014, releasing several EPs and singles, as well as a 2014 studio album, Young Animal Hearts. A compilation album, Separate, was released in 2020 after the band's break up. The band appeared in NME , Clash and Time Out , toured with Stornoway and others, and played festivals such as T in the Park, Maifeld Derby, Liverpool Sound City and the Great Escape Festival. The band was playlisted by BBC Radio 1. They reformed in 2020 for a one-off show in London that was postponed until March 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

At the end of 2015, Nemati was replaced by Oliver Burdett and touring keyboardist/second vocalist Hannah Greenwood became an official band member. A third EP, The Stranger, was released in 2016 and reached the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart top ten.

The band consists of Esa Mankinen, Marko Heikkinen, Jyri Pesonen and Olli-Pekka Ervasti (drums). The band's debut album, Phrases to Break the Ice, was released on 21 September 2012 by independent record label XYZ Berlin and licensed throughout the world. In late 2012, the band made a publishing deal with major publishing company BMG. In the beginning of 2013 they were signed to X-ray Touring for bookings.

The Good, the Bad & the Queen were an English art rock supergroup composed of singer Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, bassist Paul Simonon of the Clash, guitarist Simon Tong of the Verve, and drummer Tony Allen. They released their self-titled debut album in 2007. Their second album, Merrie Land, coproduced with Tony Visconti, was released in 2018. They disbanded in 2019, and Allen died in 2020.
