Sree Pushpakabrahmana Seva Sangham (SPSS) [1] is a registered charitable organisation which works for the progress of Pushpaka Brahmins, a group of culturally identical Brahmin castes like Pushpaka Unnis, Theeyatt Unnis, Kurukkals, Nambeesans etc. in Kerala.
Sree Pushpakabrahmana Seva Sangham is affiliated to the All Kerala Brahmin Federation (AKBF), [2] [3] [4] a branch of All India Brahmin Federation (AIBF). [5] [6]
Sree Pushpakabrahmana Seva Sangham is organised in three tiers - Kendra Prathinidhi Sabha (Central Council), Jilla Prathinidhi Sabha (District Council) and Pradesika Sabha (Regional Council). [7]
The districts are grouped under three zones for more co-ordination of activities. They are Dakshinamekhala (South Zone), Madhyamekhala (Central Zone) and Uttaramekhala (North Zone).

SPSS publishes a monthly magazine called "Pushpakadhwani", meaning "Voice of Pushpakas". SPSS also publishes books on art and cultural topics such as Koodiyattam, Brahmanipatt, Theeyaatt, Shodasa Samskaras etc. Calendars and Diaries are also published annually.
Sree Pushpaka Brahmana Seva Sangham works as a pressure group and works towards greater political representation of Pushpaka Brahmins in governance. [8] SPSS was able to bring forward various issues related to reservation in various political and social systems. [9] [10] [11] However, it is not an influential community organisation in Kerala politics.
Malayala Manorama is a morning newspaper in Malayalam published from Kottayam, Kerala, India by the Malayala Manorama Company Limited. Currently headed by Mammen Mathew, it was first published as a weekly on 22 March 1888, and currently has a readership of over 8 million. It is also the second oldest Malayalam newspaper in Kerala in circulation, after Deepika, which is also published from Kottayam. Manorama also publishes an online edition.
Puthan Veetil Narayanan Nair, fondly called and popularly known by his pen name Pavanan (പവനൻ) who was born on 26 October 1925 and died on 22 June 2006, was a well-known rationalist, literary critic and left wing political activist from Kerala, India. He was also a well-accomplished author and journalist, who had won the Kerala Sahithya Akademi Award in 1965 and the Soviet Land Nehru Award in 1979. He was the secretary of the Kerala Sahithya Academy (1977-84) and the General Secretary of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists, and a member of Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy. Pavanan was the editor of Malayalam Encyclopedia. He had authored more than a dozen books. Pavanan Foundation Award was constituted by Pavanan Foundation to recognize and honour literary works. In 2011 M. K. Sanu, Malayalam critic and writer had received this award.
Nambeesan is a Pushpaka Brahmin caste of Kerala, India.

Punathil Kunjabdulla was an Indian writer from Kerala. A medical doctor by profession, Kunjabdulla was a practitioner of the avant-garde in Malayalam literature. His work includes more than 45 books, including 7 novels, 15 short story collections, memoirs, an autobiography and travelogues. His work Smarakasilakal won the Central and State Akademi Awards.
Ee Parakkum Thalika is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language slapstick comedy drama film starring Dileep, Harisree Ashokan, Nithya Das and Cochin Haneefa. It was directed by Thaha and written by V. R. Gopalakrishnan, seems to have been inspired by Mouse Hunt. The film was also the debut film of Nithya Das. The story follows bus owner Unnikrishnan and his assistant Sundareshan who live and sleep in their bus. It is considered one of the best slapstick comedy movies in Malayalam cinema and was one of the highest grossing Malayalam movie in 2001. The bus known as Thamarakshan Pilla, which is a central figure in the movie eventually developed into a cult figure in Kerala.
Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri, popularly known as Akkitham, was an Indian poet and essayist who wrote in Malayalam. He was known for a simple and lucid style of writing, exploring themes of profound love and compassion in his works. Some of his prominent works included Irupatham Noottandinte Ithihasam, Balidarshanam , and Nimisha Kshetram.
P. K. Kunhalikutty is an Indian politician and social worker who is the present Member of Legislative Assembly from Vengara Assembly Constituency in Kerala. He also serves as National General Secretary of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Deputy Leader of opposition in Kerala Leglative Assembly.

Unnikrishnan Mukundan Nair is an Indian actor, producer, singer, lyricist and social issues responder who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He has also acted in a few Telugu and Tamil films. In 2021, he won his first national award as a producer for his production debut film, Meppadiyan, which won the national award for the best film of a debut director.
Narayanan Nambuthiri Kakkad, commonly known as N. N. Kakkad, was an Indian poet of the Malayalam language. Known for works such as Saphalmee Yathra, Pathalathinde Muzhakkam and Changatham, he was a Sanskrit scholar and was known to have been proficient in painting and music. Mukkuttiparambil Achuthan was an Indian academic, orator, and literary critic of Malayalam literature. Known for his works viz. Swathanthrya Samaravum Malayala Sahithyavum, Paschathya Sahitya Darshanam and Cherukadha Innale Innu, Achuthan was a recipient of several literary honours including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Literary Criticism and for Overall Contributions as well as the Padmaprabha Literary Award.
V. P. Sanu is an Indian politician who is currently the National President of the Students' Federation of India, the students' wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is also a member of the Kerala state committee of the CPI(M). He contested the parliamentary election in 2019 polls and 2021 by-polls representing CPI(M) in Malappuram, Kerala against IUML and lost both times in big margin.

Instituted in 1987, it is given in various categories such as novel, story, poetry, drama, literary criticism, scholarly literature and children's literature. The award for literary criticism is named Sakthi Thayat Award, the award instituted for overall contributions is named T. K. Ramakrishnan Award, and the award for other categories of literature is named Sakthi Erumeli Award.
