Sree Vidyanikethan International School (SVIS) was founded in 1993 [1] by Mohan Babu, who has been an actor, filmmaker, and a former member of Rajya Sabha. The school has two campuses, one located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and the other in Hyderabad, Telangana, with plans to open a new branch in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Founder and beginnings

Sree Vidyanikethan International School is the unit of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust (SVET), established in 1992 by Dr M. Mohan Babu, who hailed from a middle-class family with his father Narayana Swamy Naidu being a teacher in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Although he loved acting, Mohan Babu joined the Physical Education department in a school. He later realized it wasn't what he'd wanted and thus, began his acting career. He served a term in the Rajya Sabha and was awarded the Padma Shree in 2007 for his contributions to the arts. [2] [3]

Sree Vidyanikethan International School started as a small school in 1993 and has now expanded to have more than 1200+ students from various regions of the country.

Schools

The SVIS offers full-time education to students aged 3 to 18 and follows the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum of NCERT. The school is licensed and inspected by the both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government.

SVIS Tirupati

Established in 1993, SVIS's first campus is located in Sree Sainath Nagar, Tirupati. Spread over 10 acres, it has an enrollment of over 700 students. [4]

SVIS Hyderabad

SVIS's second campus was established in 2007 in Sanskruti Township, Pocharam, Ghatkesar, Hyderabad, Telangana. Built on over 7 acres, it enrols 500 students. [5]

Samaikyandhra Movement

Mohan Babu. who has been an actor, film producer, recipient of Padma Shri Award and former member of Rajya Sabha. Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy (SVCP) was instituted by Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust (SVET) in 2004.
