David Howell Evans, better known as the Edge or simply Edge, is an English-born Irish musician, singer, and songwriter. The 1977 NSWRFL season was the 70th season of Sydney's professional rugby league football competition, the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership. National Basketball League of Canada Professional basketball league in Canada

The National Basketball League of Canada is a Canadian professional men's basketball league. The NBL Canada was founded in 2011, when three teams formerly of the Premier Basketball League joined with four new franchises to form the NBL's "Original Seven". The league has changed in size multiple times and has four active teams for the 2022 season, all in Ontario, but historically has had several located in the Atlantic provinces. The league's season typically begins in November and ends in April of the following year. The most recent champions are the Moncton Magic, having defeated the St. John's Edge 4–0 in the 2019 NBL Finals.

Grandy Glaze Canadian basketball player (1992-)

Grandy Glaze is a Canadian professional basketball player who last played for the Niagara River Lions of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Born in North York, Ontario, he started high school at St. Edmund Campion Secondary School in Brampton before attending three different schools in the United States, including Notre Dame Preparatory School in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. A former University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) signee, he began playing for Saint Louis at the college level, but after receiving limited playing time, he transferred to Grand Canyon, where he earned all-conference honors.

The St. John's Edge are an inactive Canadian professional basketball team based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and compete in the National Basketball League of Canada. From 2017 to 2020, they played home games at Mile One Centre. They were given a leave of absence from the league in 2021 due to not having a suitable home arena after not being given a new lease for Mile One Centre.

The Newfoundland Growlers are a professional minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The team began play in the 2018–19 ECHL season and have home games at Mary Brown's Centre. They are members in the North Division of the Eastern Conference and are affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

The 2018–19 NBL Canada season is the eighth season of the National Basketball League of Canada. The regular season ran from November 15, 2018, to March 31, 2019.

Newfoundland Growlers (basketball)

The Newfoundland Growlers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada founded in 2021. They will compete in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and play their home games at the Field House at Memorial University of Newfoundland beginning with the 2022 season. They are owned and operated by Deacon Sports and Entertainment, the same organization that operated the professional hockey team that is also called the Newfoundland Growlers. The Growlers are the third professional basketball team to be based in the in St. John's area after the St. John's Edge of the National Basketball League of Canada and the Newfoundland Rogues of the American Basketball Association.
