The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer center in Houston,Texas. It is the largest cancer center in the U.S. and one of the original three comprehensive cancer centers in the country. It is both a degree-granting academic institution and a cancer treatment and research center located at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. This period begins at puberty and lasts until growth has stopped,at which time adulthood begins. Typically,patients in this age range will be in the last years of middle school up until college graduation. In developed nations,the psychosocial period of adolescence is extended both by an earlier start,as the onset of puberty begins earlier,and a later end,as patients require more years of education or training before they reach economic independence from their parents.

The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital formerly University of Chicago Children's Hospital is a nationally ranked,freestanding,172-bed,pediatric acute care children's hospital adjacent to University of Chicago Medical Center. It is affiliated with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and is a member of the UChicago health system,the only children's hospital in the system.
