Stanley Dakosty Jr. (born January 2, 1983) is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at Colgate University. [1] [2] He also played college football at Colgate before suffering an injury and turning to coaching. [3] Prior to being named head coach, Dakosty spent 15 of his 17-year coaching career with Colgate.

Edwin Regur Sweetland was an American coach, trainer, and athletic administrator at several universities. During his coaching career he was head coach of many sports including basketball, track and field, and rowing, but the majority of for his coaching work was in football. Though mainly known for football, he left his mark on several college athletics departments and other sports. This includes being the first athletic trainer at Ohio State University, the first paid coach of the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team, and the first coach of Syracuse University rowing team.
Frank Riley Castleman was an American football and baseball player, track athlete, and coach in multiple sports. He competed for the United States in the 200 metre hurdles at the 1904 Summer Olympics held in St. Louis, Missouri, where he won the silver medal. Castleman was a member of the Greater New York Irish American Athletic Association, which became the Irish American Athletic Club. He competed mainly in the 200 metre hurdles. Castleman graduated from Colgate University in 1906, where he competed in football, baseball, and track and field.
The Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball team represents Loyola University Maryland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I competition. It became a member of the Patriot League along with the university's other intercollegiate athletic programs on July 1, 2013. Home games are played at Reitz Arena. Loyola has appeared twice in the NCAA Tournament, most recently in 2012.
Richard William Offenhamer was an American football and baseball player and football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Buffalo—now known as the University at Buffalo, from 1955 to 1965, compiling a record of 58–37–5. Offenhamer played college football and college baseball at Colgate University.
Richard L. Biddle was an American football player and coach. He served as head football coach at Colgate University from 1996 through 2013, compiling a record of 137–73. This ranks him first at Colgate in terms of total wins and he has achieved the best winning percentage of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders.
Andrew Kerr IV was an American football, basketball, and track and field coach. He served as the head football coach at Stanford University (1922–1923), Washington & Jefferson College (1926–1928), Colgate University (1929–1946), and Lebanon Valley College (1947–1949), compiling a career college football record of 137–71–14. His 1932 Colgate team went a perfect 9–0, was not scored upon, and was named a national champion by Parke H. Davis. Kerr was also the head basketball coach at the University of Pittsburgh for one season (1921–1922) and at Stanford for four seasons (1922–1926), tallying a career college basketball mark of 54–26. In addition, he coached track and field at Pittsburgh from 1913 to 1921. Kerr was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951. Colgate's home football stadium, Andy Kerr Stadium, was dedicated in his honor in 1966.
Frederick H. Dunlap is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Lehigh University from 1965 to 1975 and at Colgate University from 1976 to 1987, compiling career college football record of 126–111–5. Dunlap was the athletic director at Colgate form 1976 to 1992.
The James Madison Dukes football program represents James Madison University in the sport of American football. The Dukes compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC), beginning play within the conference for the 2022 season. The university first fielded a football team in 1972, and the Dukes play at the on-campus Bridgeforth Stadium in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Dukes are currently coached by Bob Chesney.
The 1932 Colgate Red Raiders football team represented Colgate University in during the 1932 college football season. Fourth-year head coach Andrew Kerr led Colgate to a perfect record, and the team did not allow an opponent to score throughout the entire season. Nevertheless, Colgate did not receive an expected invitation to the Rose Bowl, and as such, the team was called "undefeated, untied, unscored upon, and uninvited". The 1932 Colgate eleven is one of only three college football teams since 1920 to have finished a perfect season without being scored upon. The new maroon uniforms adopted by this team inspired the nickname for the school's athletics program: the "Red Raiders". Parke H. Davis named Colgate a co-national champion team alongside Michigan and USC.
The Colgate Raiders women's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I ice hockey team that represents Colgate University and play in ECAC Hockey. The Raiders play their home games at Class of 1965 Arena. The Raiders have played in Division I hockey since the 2001–02 season after playing at the NCAA Division III from 1997 to 2001.
Stanley Drayton is an American football coach. He was the head coach at Temple University from 2022–2024. He formerly served as the associate head coach, running backs coach, and run game coordinator at The University of Texas at Austin and also coached running backs for the Chicago Bears and Ohio State.
The Lehigh Mountain Hawks men's lacrosse team represents Lehigh University in NCAA Division I college lacrosse. The Mountain Hawks play their home games at Frank Banko Field, which is part of a complex that also includes Lehigh's soccer and field hockey venues. Daniel L. Hunt is an American football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator at Lehigh University, a position he had held since 2023. Hunt served as the head football coach at Colgate University from 2014 through his resignation in May 2021. Hunt played for Springfield College from 1988 to 1991 and was a two-year starter at tight end. Hunt graduated from Springfield in 1992 with a degree in physical education, and earned his master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield in 1995. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Springfield before coming to Colgate in 1995. He has coached tight ends, running backs, and quarterbacks during his tenure and he was named associate head coach in 2010. Hunt was named as the 29th head coach at Colgate upon the retirement of Dick Biddle following the 2013 season.
Don Vaughan is a Canadian ice hockey retired coach and player. Vaughan had been the head coach at Colgate from 1992 through 2023 and is the programs leader in wins, losses, ties and tenure.
Peter Dwyer was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach and head basketball coach at Niagara University from 1923 to 1927. After working as an assistant coach at Syracuse University, Dwyer became the head football coach and head basketball coach at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. He was a 1910 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he played left halfback on the school's football team.
