Stargazer is a 2008 children's fantasy novel, the fifth book in the Land of Elyon series by Patrick Carman. [1] It takes place shortly after Into the Mist , in which Roland tells his story while they are sailing.

Plot

Alexa Daley, the protagonist, had only recently defeated the Abaddon (the main antagonist throughout the series)...or so she thought.

Abaddon was last seen falling back into the black pit in which he was contained, defeated along with Victor Grindall, one of Abaddon's underlings. Abaddon had taken on a new form, a metal serpent of the sea, harnessing the deadly power of electricity.

In his twenties, Carman founded an ad agency, then ran it for a decade, overseeing a staff of eight and art directing projects for the health, technology, and film industries. He sold the agency in 1999 and founded a technology company that grew into a multimillion-dollar business. Carman sold his second company in 2003 and began writing books for young adults and children. He lives in Walla Walla, Washington, with his wife Karen and two daughters, Reece and Sierra, and splits his time between publishing and film projects.
