Looney Tunes Cartoon media franchise of Warner Bros.

Looney Tunes is an American animated comedy short film series produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969, along with an accompanying series, Merrie Melodies, during the golden age of American animation. The two series introduced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, Tweety, Sylvester, Granny, Yosemite Sam, the Tasmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales and many other cartoon characters. The characters themselves are commonly referred to as the "Looney Tunes", as well as the "Tune Squad" since their appearances in the 1996 feature film Space Jam.

The Golden age of American animation was a period in the history of American animation that began with the popularization of sound cartoons in the late 1920s when animated films started to feature sound and gradually ended in the 1970s with the closing of Walter Lantz Productions and Terrytoons. This era is widely regarded by critics to be the peak of American animation history, as many of the most critically acclaimed, financially successful, and culturally significant animated films and cartoons were released during the golden age. Even in the present, many of these works are widely popular and acclaimed. The golden age of American animation gradually came to an end during the early 1970’s, when theatrical animated shorts began losing popularity to the newer medium of television animation, produced on cheaper budgets and in a more limited animation style by companies such as Hanna-Barbera, UPA, and DePatie–Freleng.

SNL Digital Short Video shorts

An SNL Digital Short is one in a series of comedic and often musical video shorts created for NBC's Saturday Night Live. The origin of the Digital Short brand is credited to staff writer Adam McKay, who created content for the show in collaboration with SNL hosts, writers, and cast members. The popularity of these segments exploded following the addition of The Lonely Island to the show, and it is to them that credit is given for ushering SNL "into the age of digital online content in a time when it needed to tap into that relevance more than ever." The Lonely Island's digital shorts were originally recorded with consumer grade digital video cameras and edited on personal computers. It is typical for the show's hosts and musical guests to take part in that week's Digital Short, and several shorts have included appearances by celebrities who were not scheduled to appear in any of that episode's live sketches.
