Taylor Jackson Kinney (born July 15, 1981 [1] ) is an American actor and model. He played Jared in Zero Dark Thirty , Phil in The Other Woman , and Chicago Fire Department Lieutenant Kelly Severide on the American drama Chicago Fire . He also played Craig, one of Fiona's love interests, on Shameless.

In 2012, Kinney landed a starring role on Chicago Fire , a drama series that follows the lives of firefighters and paramedics. Kinney plays Lieutenant Kelly Severide on Rescue Squad 3 opposite former House star Jesse Spencer. Also in 2012, Kinney appeared on the big screen in Kathryn Bigelow's acclaimed war drama Zero Dark Thirty . In 2012, he guest starred on Shameless as Craig, the former high school crush of the lead character Fiona (played by Emmy Rossum). [8]
Kinney began dating singer-songwriter Lady Gaga in July 2011. They first met in Nebraska while working on the music video for her song "You and I", and started dating soon afterwards. On April 30, 2024, Kinney and Cruger married in a private ceremony in Chicago. [13]

The February 2020 Chicago Crossover Event is a two-part fictional crossover that exists within the Chicago television franchise. The event aired on NBC consecutively in two back-to-back one-hour timeslots on February 26, 2020. It began with "Off the Grid" of Chicago Fire and concluded with "Burden of Truth" of Chicago P.D. Both episodes followed a unified storyline of a former Chicago police officer returning to Chicago to search for his missing sister. Many actors in the franchise appeared outside of their main series guest starring in the other part of the crossover. The crossover event most notably featured the publicized return of former Chicago P.D. series regular Brian Geraghty who portrays Sean Roman and last appeared in the franchise in 2016.
