Jack Rapke is an American film producer who has produced such films as the 2000 Robert Zemeckis film Cast Away . [1] [2]
Rapke was born to a Jewish family and raised in Miami. [3] Rapke graduated from Nova High School in Davie, Florida in 1968 and New York University Film School in 1974. [4]
Rapke started his career from the mailroom of the William Morris Agency in 1975. [5] He then worked as a talent agent at the William Morris Agency and after four years started working at Creative Artists Agency. [3]
Rapke served seven years as co-chairman of CAA’s motion picture department, [6] where he handled filmmakers that included Robert Zemeckis, Chris Columbus, Jerry Bruckheimer, Ridley Scott, Michael Mann, Harold Ramis, Michael Bay, Terry Gilliam, Bob Gale, Bo Goldman, Steve Kloves, Howard Franklin, Scott Frank, Robert Mark Kamen, John Hughes, Joel Schumacher, Marty Brest, and Imagine Entertainment partners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Rapke left CAA in 1998 to form ImageMovers with Zemeckis. [7] Cast Away, directed by Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks was the company’s first feature film. [2]

He was married to Laurie Ann Perlman, [9] who was also Jewish; [3] they had two children before divorcing. [3] She remarried with Gerald M. Levin. [3] [10] He married Sandra Scheinberg Rapke in 1991 - (divorced 2012 )

Tony Krantz is an American film and television producer, writer, and director. Krantz started his career in the American entertainment industry as an agent, spending 15 years at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He started there as a mailroom trainee and rose to eventually run the primetime television department, where he personally packaged the television series ER, Twin Peaks,Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place and The West Wing, among many others. He also put together the movies The Doors and Wild at Heart. Under his leadership at CAA, there were 32 shows on the primetime lineup that the agency represented when Krantz left to start the next part of his career. Krantz transitioned into producing television, and was one of three founders of Imagine Television, serving as its co-chairman and CEO. There he produced Felicity, Sports Night, The PJs, 24 and the movie Mulholland Drive. Krantz left Imagine in 2002 to pursue his path as a film and television director and writer. He has since directed three films, Sublime, Otis, and The Big Bang, and is currently the principal and owner of the independent production company Flame Ventures.
