The five Regions of Denmark were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties (amter) were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities (kommuner) was cut from 270 to 98. The reform was approved and made into a law by the lawmakers in the Folketing 26 June 2005 with elections to the 98 municipalities and 5 regions being held Tuesday 15 November 2005.

The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Transport, also referred as Ministry of Transport and Communications is a Norwegian ministry established in 1946, and is responsible for transportation in Norway. The ministry was responsible for communication infrastructure until may 2019, when the responsibility for the Norwegian Communications Authority was transferred to Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. Since October 2021, the ministry has been headed by Jon-Ivar Nygård of the Labour Party. The department must report to the parliament (Stortinget).

A regional health authority is a state-owned enterprise responsible for specialist healthcare in one of four regions of Norway. Responsibilities of the RHFs include patient treatment, education of medical staff, research and training of patients and relatives. Areas covered by the authorities are hospitals, psychiatry, ambulance service, operation of pharmacies at the hospitals, emergency telephone number and laboratories. The actual performance is done by subsidiary health trusts (HF) that usually consist of one or more hospitals, with associate responsibilities. The Norwegian eProcurement Secretariat was a Norwegian government agency responsible for managing electronic commerce throughout the Government of Norway and other public bodies. The agency's two primary goals were to increase the use of e-commerce in the public sector and to ensure that electronic services and support functions to improve public procurement efficiency were developed. The agency was created in 2005, and was merged with Norge.no and Statskonsult to create the Agency for Public Management and eGovernment on January 1, 2008.

Ralph Høibakk is a Norwegian entrepreneur. He established the Tandberg Data company in 1978, which produced ergonomically designed laptops and keyboards. Høibakk left the company in 1986, and started Høibakk Invest, which provides management consulting for new enterprises. He is also a mountaineer, and has climbed the Tirich Mir, Mount Everest and Drangnag Ri mountains in Asia with Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss and Arne Næss Jr.

The National Immigration Administration (NIA), alternatively known as the Exit and Entry Administration of the People's Republic of China, is a sub-ministry-level executive agency administrated by the Ministry of Public Security.
