The Steel Workers Union of Trinidad and Tobago (S.W.U.T.T.) is a trade union in Trinidad and Tobago. The SWUTT is the recognized majority union in the ArcelorMittal Point Lisas steelworks, Tubecity I.M.S., Centrin Steel Company and National Flour Mills (monthly paid workers).

The National Union of Government and Federated Workers (NUGFW) is a trade union in Trinidad and Tobago. It was formed on 3 June 1967 out of a merger between the National Union of Government Employees and the Federated Workers Trade Union. It is the largest union in the country.

Arising out of the 2000 Convention of NATUC, the main national trade union centre in Trinidad and Tobago, divisions took place which resulted in the formation of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions and Non-Governmental Organisations (FITUN). FITUN is not affiliated to any organisation.

In 1957 the National Union of Government Employees (NUGE), a former trade union in Trinidad and Tobago, was formed as a result of a merger between the Industrial and Railway Employees Trade Union, the Government Farm and Nursery Workers Trade Union and the Works and Hydraulics Industrial Workers Union. Later that same year, the Communication Services and General Workers Trade Union transferred its daily paid members to the NUGE and were followed in 1959 by the Public Works and Public Service Workers Trade Union.

The Federated Workers Trade Union (FWTU) was a trade union in Trinidad and Tobago that was formed in 1935. It was Registered in 1937 and became the recognised union for some workers in the private sector but also those in the Public Works Department and the Trinidad Government Railways.

National Solidarity Assembly is a political party in Trinidad and Tobago. It is the political arm of the All Trinidad General Worker's Trade Union. Union President Nirvan Maharaj formed the NSA, and sits as interim political leader, after years of struggle, making representation to past government administrations, for the implementation of a court order for the effective honoring of V.S.E.P. to the former workers of the Caroni (1975) ltd. In frustration, due to their unresponsive and uncooperative stance, and the dire need, for better representation for the people of Trinidad & Tobago, a new political party was born at the Rienzi Complex, Couva. National Solidarity Assembly's majority of membership is the former workers of Caroni (1975) ltd.
