Steven Michael Lake (born March 14,1957) is an American former professional baseball backup catcher,who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1983 to 1993 for the Chicago Cubs,St. Louis Cardinals,and Philadelphia Phillies,Lake batted and threw right-handed. [1]
Lake started Game 7 of the 1987 World Series for the Cardinals and went 1-for-3 with an RBI single. Over his career,he threw out 45.43% of the base runners who tried to steal a base on him,ranking him 9th on the all-time list. [2]
He may be best remembered for a 1991 Studio baseball card which featured his pet bird,Ruffles. [3]
His children include Ryan Lake,Brendan Lake,and Jordan Parkes.
Fernando Valenzuela Anguamea is a Mexican former professional baseball pitcher. Valenzuela played 17 Major League Baseball (MLB) seasons,from 1980 to 1991 and 1993 to 1997. While he played for six MLB teams,he is best remembered for his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Valenzuela batted and threw left-handed. His career highlights include a win-loss record of 173–153,with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.54. Valenzuela was notable for his unorthodox windup and for being one of a small number of pitchers who threw a screwball regularly. Never a particularly hard thrower,the Dodgers felt he needed another pitch;he was taught the screwball in 1979 by teammate Bobby Castillo.

He was the MVP runner-up for Tigers' 1968 World Series winning team,handling a pitching staff which included World Series MVP Mickey Lolich and regular season MVP Denny McLain,who went on to become the first 30-game winner in the majors since 1934.

Fury Gene Tenace,better known as Gene Tenace,is an American former professional baseball player and coach. Yadier Benjamín Molina,nicknamed "Yadi",is a Puerto Rican former professional baseball catcher who played his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). A lifelong resident of New Braunfels,Texas,Katt stood 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) (183 cm) tall,weighed 200 pounds (91 kg),and threw and batted right-handed in his playing days. Jason Louis Motte is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals,Chicago Cubs,Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves. The Cardinals drafted him as a catcher in 2003 and he converted to pitching in 2006. Motte played a key role in the 2011 World Series championship run,saving five postseason games. In 2012,he led the National League (NL) in saves with 42. Motte had Tommy John surgery to repair an ulnar collateral ligament injury that kept him from playing all of 2013. After returning to the Cardinals midway through the 2014 season,Motte signed a one-year,$4.5 million deal with the Cubs for 2015.
