Steve Sertich (born October 20, 1952) is an American ice hockey player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1976 Winter Olympics. [1]
Stephen Gregory Yzerman is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player currently serving as executive vice president and general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, with whom he spent all 22 seasons of his NHL playing career. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he is a Detroit sports icon and a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Bemidji State Beavers women's ice hockey team represented Bemidji State University and participated in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. This was the Beavers final season in the John S. Glas Field House. For the 2010–11 season, the Beavers will move into the Bemidji Regional Events Center. Goaltender Zuzana Tomčíková represented her homeland of Slovakia in Ice hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Bemidji State doubled their win production compared to the 2008–09 season, when the Beavers claimed only six victories.
Steven ("Steve") Micael Plasencia is a former American long-distance runner. Plasencia competed in the 10,000 metres at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the closest 1-2 finish in the race's history, Plasencia edged out Keith Brantly by one second to win the 1992 California International Marathon (2:14:14). Plasencia won the Oct 1997 USATF National Masters Marathon Championship at age 40. His 14:02.86 5000 metres at the Drake Relays at the age of 40 was the American Masters record until 2014 when it was broken by Bernard Lagat.
