Stevie Martin (born 1987or1988) [1] is a British comedian and writer.

Early life

Martin grew up in Cheshire. [2] She graduated from St. John's College, Durham University in 2010, with a degree in English Literature. [3] She credits her career to having been auditioned for sketch comedy group The Durham Revue by Ed Gamble and Nish Kumar. [4] After graduating, she worked as a journalist. [5]

Career

Martin was a member of the sketch comedy group Massive Dad, along with comedians Tessa Coates and Liz Kingsman. [6] She creates comedy sketches on TikTok with actor Lola-Rose Maxwell. [7]

Martin has appeared on TV shows including 8Out of 10 Cats DoesCountdown, Starstruck , Breeders , The Mash Report , Guessable, The Emily Atack Show , and The Horne Section TV Show. [8] [9] She has written for TV shows including The Russell Howard Hour . [10]

With Tessa Coates, she hosts the podcast Nobody Panic. [11] [12] Her first book, co-authored by Coates and published in 2021, is also called Nobody Panic. [13] She also writes a Substack newsletter called The S is a 5. [14]

With her sister Gina Martin, she previously hosted the podcast Might Delete Later. [15] She has appeared on podcasts including RHLSTP . [16]

She has performed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, including Clout and Hot Content. [10] [7]

In 2025, Martin was announced to be a contestant in the nineteenth series of Taskmaster , alongside Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas, Mathew Baynton, and Rosie Ramsey. [17]

Personal life

Martin lives in South London. [1] She is the sister of political activist and author Gina Martin. [1] She is married to fellow comedian Adam Riches. [18]

The Horne Section is a British musical comedy band, appearing sporadically on radio, television, podcast, and stage. Led by frontman and comedian Alex Horne, the band comprises Joe Auckland (trumpet/banjo), Mark Brown (saxophone/guitar), Will Collier (bass/guitar), Ben Reynolds (drums) and Ed Sheldrake (keys). The band specialises in comedy/spoof songs in a variety of genres. The band is made up of professional musicians, including two childhood friends of Horne, and first performed together in May 2010, with the current line-up finalised during 2012. The Horne Section have performed at the Edinburgh Festival, as well as touring the UK, and celebrity guests at their shows have included Harry Hill, Simon Amstell, Jimmy Carr, Tim Minchin, Josie Long, Al Murray, and John Oliver as well as musicians including Neil Hannon and Suggs. Their BBC Radio 4 series – Alex Horne Presents the Horne Section – ran for three series from 2012 to 2014. The band have also released five albums.
