The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.

American Samoa sent a team to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The U.S. territory selected four athletes to compete in three sports: swimming, athletics and judo. The dependency's participation in Beijing marked its seventh participation in any Olympic game since its debut at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, and its sixth participation at any Summer Olympic games. Of the four American Samoan athletes who participated in Beijing, all four were first-time Olympians and born outside American Samoa and none of the four advanced past the qualification or preliminary rounds of their events. More women participated in the 2008 American Samoan Olympic delegation than in any one delegation in its Olympic history. Judoka Silulu A'etonu was the territory's flagbearer at the ceremonies.

In September 2018, she signed for Dynamo Kursk of the Russian Premier League and in January 2020, she returned to her youth club Uni Girona CB. After not playing in the 2020-21 season, she announced her retirement in July 2021.
Murray Scott Stewart is an Australian kayaker. Stewart qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and teamed up with Riley Fitzsimmons, Lachlan Tame and Jordan Wood in the Men's K-4 500m sprint. The team did well in the heats clocking 1:22.662, came second in the semi-final, but couldn't repeat their best time coming in 6th in the final behind the eventual winner, Germany,
Robert Leslie Stewart was a yachtsman from New Zealand. He competed for New Zealand in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, coming 11th in the three-man Dragon class. He was the helmsman, with Albert Cuthbertson and William Swinnerton.
Darryl Stewart Fitzgerald is a New Zealand sprint canoeist. Fitzgerald is a member of Poverty Bay Kayak Club, and is coached and trained by four-time Olympic kayaking champion Ian Ferguson.

Helen Stewart Hunt is a Canadian former swimmer from Vancouver. At the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, Stewart won a silver medal in the 4×110 yd freestyle relay. The next year, at the 1955 Pan American Games, she won a gold medal and two silver medals. She competed in two events at the 1956 Summer Olympics. After her swimming career, she was a member of the Canadian women's volleyball team at the 1967 Pan American Games and the 1971 Pan American Games.
William Allan Stewart was an Australian sprinter. He competed in the men's 100 metres at the 1912 Summer Olympics.
Randy Stewart is an American sports shooter. He competed in the men's 50 metre running target event at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
