Strang3r ("stranger") is the third extended play by South Korean girl group Ladies' Code and their first without EunB and RiSe. It was released on October 13, 2016 and contains six tracks, including three remixes of songs from the group's single album, Myst3ry , along with the title track "The Rain". [1]

Background and release

In September 2016 it was reported that Ladies' Code would release a new extended play in mid-October, which had been in preparation since March. [2] On October 2, it was confirmed that the EP's title track would be called "The Rain", and would be an "emotional dance song with a melody that fits Ladies’ Code’s individuality". [3] On October 9, a teaser for the title track's music video was released. [4] The extended play was released on October 13 along with the title track "The Rain". [5]

Ladies' Code is a South Korean girl group formed by Polaris Entertainment in 2013. The group's original lineup consisted of leader Ashley and members RiSe, EunB, Sojung, and Zuny. They made their debut with the mini-album Code#01 and the lead track "Bad Girl", which were released on March 7, 2013. On September 3, 2014, the group was involved in a car crash that resulted in the deaths of EunB and Rise. Ladies' Code returned as a trio in February 2016 with the extended play Myst3ry. In October 2016, they issued "The Rain" from their EP Strang3r. The group left Polaris in February 2020 following the expiration of their contracts. The group is currently on indefinite hiatus, with the members pursuing solo careers.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kwon Ri-se</span> South Korean-Japanese singer (1991–2014)

Kwon Ri-se, better known by her stage name Rise, was a South Korean singer. She was a member of the South Korean girl group Ladies' Code under Polaris Entertainment. Prior to her joining Ladies' Code, she participated in Miss Korea 2009 and was crowned as "Miss Korea Japan Jin". She was one of the Top 12 contestants of MBC's Star Audition The Great Birth. She died in a car crash at age 23.

Mystery of Venus is the sixth extended play by South Korean girl group Hello Venus. It was released on January 11, 2017, by Fantagio Music and distributed by Interpark. The EP consists of four songs, including their previous collaboration with producing and writing team, Devine Channel, with the addition of a new song, "Mysterious", the title track from the EP. To promote the EP, Hello Venus performed "Mysterious" on South Korean music programs, including Music Bank and Inkigayo. A music video for the title track was also released on January 11. This marks their last release before their disbandment in 2019.

<i>Eclipse</i> (EP) 2017 EP by EXID

Eclipse is the third extended play by South Korean girl group EXID. It was released by Banana Culture and distributed by Sony Music on April 10, 2017. The album contains six tracks including the lead single "Night Rather Than Day". The album was promoted by EXID as a 4-member group, since main vocalist Solji was recovering from hyperthyroidism with which she was diagnosed in December 2016.
