Strausberg is the main railway station for the city of Strausberg in Brandenburg. It is served by the S-Bahn line S5.

Overview

The station is part of the Prussian Eastern line Berlin-Gorzów and is the southern end of the Strausberg–Strausberg Nord line.

There is also a station for the Strausberg Railway as well as Regional trains from Berlin Lichtenberg to Kostrzyn.

Every second S5 train terminates at Strausberg.

Kaulsdorf is a locality within the borough Marzahn-Hellersdorf of Berlin. Kaulsdorf was incorporated into Greater Berlin by the Prussian Greater Berlin Act in 1920. In 1986 Marzahn's eastern areas, including Kaulsdorf, were separated to form the new Borough of Hellerdorf, which was merged in 2001 to form the current borough. It connects Strausberg station on the Eastern Railway with the centre of Strausberg, which is located north of the Eastern Railway. The line is served by S-Bahn line S 5 at 20-minute intervals. It is also served by some freight trains, which connect to the Strausberg base of the Luftwaffe in northern Strausberg.
