Kharkiv Oblast, also referred to as Kharkivshchyna, is an oblast (province) in eastern Ukraine.
Izium or Izyum is a city on the Donets River in Kharkiv Oblast, eastern Ukraine that serves as the administrative center of Izium Raion and Izium urban hromada. It is about 120 kilometres (75 mi) southeast of the city of Kharkiv, the oblast's administrative center.
Kupiansk or Kupyansk is a city in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Kupiansk Raion. It is also an important railroad junction for the oblast. Kupiansk hosts the administration of Kupiansk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It had a population of 26,627. In February 2024, more than 3,500 people remain in Kupyansk.
Lyman, formerly known as Krasnyi Lyman from 1925 to 2016, is a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. Until 2016, it also served as the administrative center of Lyman Raion, though administratively it was not part of the raion and incorporated as a city of oblast significance. It still serves as the administrative center of Lyman urban hromada and is part of Kramatorsk Raion. The population was 20,066, down from 28,172 in 2001.
