Su-Elise Michelle Nash (born 22 May 1981) is an English singer who rose to fame in the now-defunct girl group Mis-Teeq.
Nash was born in Dulwich, and is of Jamaican and English descent, [1] As a member of Mis-Teeq with Sabrina Washington and Alesha Dixon. Nash performed in various talents since she was a child, but had commenced a business degree at Middlesex University before becoming a member of Mis-Teeq. She has four sisters, Lisa, Chrystina, Helena and Savannah. After the departure of Mis-Teeq, Nash continued with her studies, earning teaching qualifications, and has opened her own performing arts school called the "Su-Elise Stage School" based in Gravesend, Kent. In September 2009 it was confirmed that during an interview at the MOBO Awards that Nash was working on her solo debut album entitled Long Way Round, due to be released in 2010.[ needs update ] She described the album as a follow-up to Mis-Teeq's genre, which would be R&B.
In 2008 she featured on the television casting show Britain's Next Urban Superstar! as a judge. [3]
In 2009, Nash provided vocals for Lethal Bizzle's "Going Out Tonight", which peaked at number 15 on the UK Dance Chart.
She appeared as a guest on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! while former Mis-Teeq bandmate Sabrina Washington participated in the show, and has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks twice since 2003. She also appeared on Live from Studio Five twice between 2009 and 2010. [4] She also appeared on Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed on 1 December 2009.

Lickin' on Both Sides is the debut studio album by British R&B/UK garage group Mis-Teeq, released by Telstar Records on 29 October 2001. It was primarily produced by Stargate, with additional production from Jensen & Larsson, and Synth among others. The album became a top-five success in the United Kingdom, reaching number three on the national albums chart. The album was re-released three times, with the final release, a special edition, being released on 22 June 2002. Lickin' on Both Sides was certified double platinum in the UK. Altogether the album spawned five top-ten singles.
Eye Candy is the second and final studio album by British girl group Mis-Teeq. It was released by Telstar Records on 29 March 2003 in the United Kingdom. As with their previous album Lickin' on Both Sides (2001), the trio worked with producers StarGate, Ed Case, Mushtaq, and Rishi Rich on the majority of the album, but also consulted new collaborators such as Dave Kelly, Salaam Remi and singer Joe. Musically, Eye Candy took the band's sound further into the contemporary R&B genre, combining pop and soul music with heavy hip hop, garage and reggae elements.

She rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the R&B group Mis-Teeq, who had seven UK top 10 hits, two top 10 double platinum albums, and sold over 12 million records worldwide. After Mis-Teeq disbanded in 2005, Dixon signed with Polydor Records to release her debut solo studio album, Fired Up (2006); due to insufficient commercial reception from its lead singles, "Lipstick" and "Knockdown", she was dropped from Polydor.

Her first solo project, conceived after the disbandment of her former band, girl group Mis-Teeq, Dixon worked with a variety of producers on the album, including Peer Åström, Anders Bagge, Johnny Douglas, Paul Epworth, Brian Higgins, Richard Stannard, and Xenomania. Initially scheduled for a 6 November 2006 release through Polydor and Victor Entertainment in the United Kingdom, it was postponed indefinitely after Dixon was dropped by Polydor several days before its release.

It was written by Joleen Belle, Tyrice Jones, Kowan Paul, and Robyn Sykes and recorded for the group's debut album, Lickin' on Both Sides (2001), while production was helmed by Blacksmith. The song was released as a double A-single along with a cover version of Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It" on 17 June 2002, marking the album's final single. Zena McNally is an English former-radio presenter and singer, best known as one of the original members of girl-group Mis-Teeq. She left in early 2001, only featuring on the group's first single Why.
