A civil township is a widely used unit of local government in the United States that is subordinate to a county. The term town is used in New England, New York, and Wisconsin to refer to the equivalent of the civil township in these states. Specific responsibilities and the degree of autonomy vary based on each state. Civil townships are distinct from survey townships, but in states that have both, the boundaries often coincide and may completely geographically subdivide a county. Grant County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 7,829. Its county seat and only city is Ulysses.

Sullivan Township covers an area of 215.4 square miles (558 km2) and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains two cemeteries: Golden and Zionville.

North Fork Cimarron River is a 169-mile-long (272 km) tributary of the Cimarron River that flows from a source in Comanche National Grassland in Baca County, Colorado. It joins the Cimarron River west of Satanta in Haskell County, Kansas.
North Okaw Township is one of twelve townships in Coles County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 983 and it contained 377 housing units. The Kaskaskia River flows through the township. The Cook Mills Consolidated oil field is within this township. The township changed its name from Okaw Township on May 7, 1860.
