The Sultan ul Madaris Urdu : سُلطان المدارس; is a Shia Islamic Madrasa (religious school) for higher religious education in Lucknow, India. Major course of studies include Jurisprudence, Theology and Islamic Literature.
It was founded in the year 1892 by Ayatullah Syed Muhammad Abul Hasan. The extensive madrasa buildings were erected under the supervision of the Nawab Mehdi Hasan Khan, a philanthropist of Awadh. The foundation stone was laid down in 1911 and the central hall was inaugurated by the then Lieutenant-Governor of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh Sir John Prescott Hewett. [1] Sultanul Madaris is the second Shia religious school in Lucknow. The first one was Madrasatul Imamia - Which was closed down by the Britishers and the third being Jamia Nazmia.

'Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Naqi Naqvi (born 26 December 1905 – 18 May 1988), also known as Naqqan Sahib, was a Twelver Shia Marja, thinker, poet, writer, jurist and Qur'anic interpreter. He is famous for his writings in Urdu, including the most famous Shaheed-e-Insaniyat and Tareekh-e-Islam. He has also written Tarjuma wa Tafseer of Quran e majeed and dozens of books in Arabic.

Tanzeem ul Makatib is an organisation devoted to religious awareness among the Shiites in India for education based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The organisation currently runs 1246 educational units (Maktab/Schools) in 38 of the provinces of India. Religious educational conferences are organised by it on district, regional and provincial level. These conferences serve as short-term training camps. These conferences are not held at any fixed or permanent place but their venues are changed from time to time, so that more and more population of Shia community people can take benefit.
Madrassa Shahi is an Islamic seminary in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1879 by the poor Muslims of Moradabad under the supervision of Islamic scholar, Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi, who also established the Darul Uloom Deoband. This started as Madrasatul Ghuraba, but gained recognition as Madrasa Shahi. Its first principal was Ahmad Hasan Amrohi.
