Sumaman Senior High School is a public senior high school located in Suma-Ahenkro in the Jaman North District in the Bono Region of Ghana. [1] [2] [3] [4]

History

The Omanhene and elders of the Suma Traditional Area established the school in September 1981 as a community day secondary school. In September 1989, it was fully absorbed after it was initially partially absorbed into the public stream. [5] In 2022, the school won the Bono Regional Renewable Energy Challenge. [2]

Brong-Ahafo region Region in Ghana

The Brong-Ahafo region was a region in southern Ghana. Brong-Ahafo was bordered to the north by the Black Volta river and to the east by the Lake Volta, and to the south by the Ashanti, Eastern and Western regions. The capital of Brong-Ahafo is Sunyani. Jaman North District is one of the twelve districts in Bono Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Jaman District on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Berekum-Jaman District Council, until part of the district was split off to create Jaman North District on 12 November 203 ; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Jaman South District; which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2017 to become Jaman South Municipal District. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Wenchi District, until the western part of the district was split off to create Tain District on 12 November 2003 ; thus the remaining part has been retained as Wenchi District. Suma-Ahenkro is a town in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is the capital town of Suma Traditional area. The town is known for the Sumaman Senior High School. The Suma Traditional Area is one of the notable traditional areas in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is one of the core states of the traditional Gyaaman Kingdom that exist in parts of the Republics of Ghana and La Côte d'Ivoire. St. James Seminary is a senior high school in Sunyani, the capital of the Bono region of Ghana, founded in 1978 by Most Rev. James Kwadwo Owusu, the late bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sunyani. It is not just a Senior High School, but also a Catholic Minor Seminary which offers a wide range of opportunities for both seminarians and non-Seminarians to make them not only aware of their potentials, but to fulfill them. The school emphasizes moral, spiritual and positive character formation in addition to striving to achieve academic excellence. Victor Ferkah Ghanaian broadcast journalist

Victor Ferkah is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist and radio personality who currently works for Sky FM (96.7) Ghana as part of his community service. Aside from radio, he works full-time as a senior administrative assistant at the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani. Ferkah is also the Founder and CEO of the Ferk Relief Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Sunyani, Ghana. He is a graduate of the Catholic University College of Ghana (Fiapre) and a student of law.
