Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located on the western border of Jakarta, it is the third largest urban centre in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area after Jakarta and Bekasi; the sixth largest city proper in the nation; and the largest city in Banten province. It has an area of 164.55 km2 (63.53 sq mi) and an official 2010 Census population of 1,798,601, which had risen to 1,895,486 at the 2020 Census. – making it the eighth most populated suburb in the world at the latter date; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 1,930,556. The township is located at the eastern corridor of Jakarta at Cikarang, West Java, Indonesia. The township has land area of about 3000 hectares. The township has more than 14,000 houses and 993 manufacturing companies in its industrial areas.
BSD City, formerly referred to Bumi Serpong Damai is a planned community located within Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. The project was initiated in 1984 by a group of private developers and started in 1989. The town is currently managed by the holding company PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, which is owned by Sinar Mas Land, a subsidiary of the Sinar Mas Group, a large industrial conglomerate in Indonesia. BSD City encompasses a total area of approximately 6,000 hectares, hosting a range of residential houses, apartments, malls, offices, and more. The Jabodebek LRT or Greater Jakarta LRT is a light rapid transit system in Greater Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, as well as the adjacent areas of West Java, within the Jakarta Metropolitan area. It is being implemented by the central government. To be directly operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), the system is planned to connect the Jakarta city center with suburbs in Greater Jakarta such as Bogor, Depok and Bekasi, hence its acronym "Jabodebek".

Gading Serpong is a township, 21 km west of Jakarta at Kelapa Dua and Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency of Banten province in Indonesia. Total land area of this satellite city is about 1500 hectares, which was being first developed by PT Summarecon Agung as Summarecon Serpong. In 1993, Keris Group in-cooperated with the development and the name was changed as Gading Serpong. Later Paramount Land also joined the project. To accelerate development in 2004, partners of the project decided to develop the Gading Serpong region individually, with a share of approximately equal shares. Now the township is mainly divided into two parts as Summarecon Serpong and Paramount Serpong. The township already has schools, universities and colleges, modern markets, sports and recreation clubs, golf courses and clubs, hotels, convention centres, and hospitals.
Citra Raya Tangerang is the largest integrated city developed by the Ciputra Group at Cikupa and Panongan of Tangerang Regency in Indonesia, which is located about 40 km from the capital Jakarta. The township is within Greater Jakarta and has a land area of about 2,760 hectares. Development of the township began in 1994. Population of the township is over 65,000.
Kota Jababeka is an integrated industry-based township development at Cikarang, Indonesia, which is within Greater Jakarta. It is located 35 km east of Jakarta city center with a land area of about 5,600 hectares. The township has separate zones for industrial, residential and commercial purpose. The township has a public transportation network, shopping, leisure and entertainment establishments, as well as a dry port, power plants, water treatment plants, waste water treatment plants and other civic amenities. The township can be reached by Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road and takes about 1 – 1.5 hours journey from Jakarta.
Meikarta is a planned city project in Indonesia, which is aimed to become a modern city of international scale. The township is being developed by PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. The township has land area of about 500 hectares. The project was officially launched on 17 August 2017. The project is located on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Meikarta expects to serve as the residential area of other industrial estates in Cikarang region such as Kota Jababeka and MM2100. Total investment for development of the township is about Rp 278 trillion.
CitraLand Cibubur is a township development at Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java within Jakarta metropolitan area in Indonesia. The township has a land area of about 220 hectares with facilities such as commercial areas, shopping malls, offices, fitness centers and others. The township is being developed by Ciputra Group with five clusters of residential area.
