Sumon Khan (born 13 January 2000) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. [1] He made his first-class debut for Dhaka Division in the 2018–19 National Cricket League on 29 October 2018. [2] He made his Twenty20 debut for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League on 25 February 2019. [3] He made his List A debut for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League on 8 March 2019. [4]

In November 2019, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. [5] He was the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, with fourteen dismissals in five matches. [6] Later the same month, he was selected to play for the Cumilla Warriors in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League, [7] and he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the men's cricket tournament at the 2019 South Asian Games. [8] The Bangladesh team won the gold medal, after they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final. [9]

In February 2021, he was selected in the Bangladesh Emerging squad for their home series against the Ireland Wolves. [10] [11]

The 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the sixth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. It started on 8 March, and concluded on 23 April 2019. Directly before the List A tournament started, the inaugural edition of the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League took place, featuring the same twelve teams.

The 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League was the first edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League, a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It started on 25 February 2019 and concluded on 4 March 2019. The tournament took place directly before the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, and features the same twelve teams. The final of the competition was played as a night game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan cricket team, which represents the national sports academy, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan, began playing List A cricket in Bangladesh in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, and T20 cricket in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League. The team has played in various minor competitions in Bangladesh since the academy's founding in the 1980s.
