Sumter County Transit is the public transportation agency that serves Sumter County, Florida.

Overview

Dial-a-ride service is the main component of the bureau's duty, which provides both local access and transportation to Gainesville. Two fixed routes also exist. The Orange Line makes two loops each weekday through the southern portion of the county between Center Hill and Sumterville. The Villages Shuttle provides various weekday loops through the expansive, upper-class community of mostly retirement villages.

The San Benito County Local Transportation Authority (LTA) is the public transportation agency of San Benito County, California, immediately south of Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County). LTA provides fixed route inter-county and intra-city service as San Benito County Express; the Intracounty routes connect destinations in Hollister and San Juan Bautista to Gilroy in Santa Clara County, while the Tripper routes connect destinations within Hollister. The Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority, commonly referred to as PARTA, is a transit agency serving Portage County, Ohio. It is headquartered in Franklin Township just outside the Kent city limits. PARTA was formed in 1975 from an agreement between the city of Kent and Franklin Township and has since expanded to include routes over much of Portage County. It operates several local routes including circulator and suburban routes in Kent, and an interurban route connecting Ravenna, Kent, and Stow. PARTA also offers express routes including services into downtown Cleveland, Akron as well as weekday service to the rural Portage County communities of Windham, Garrettsville and Hiram. In addition, PARTA includes Kent State University's Campus Bus Service, which it acquired in 2004, and a dial-a-ride service. A proposed plan to acquire Lorain County Transit to serve better bus service in Lorain County. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 633,800.

The Monroe County Transit Authority (MCTA), also known as the Pocono Pony, is a public transportation service located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It provides rural and inter-city fixed route bus and paratransit service within the county. MCTA is funded in part by PennDOT, the Federal Transit Administration, local match and farebox revenue.

BeST Transit is a public transportation provider that features routes in three northern Pennsylvania counties. It provides bus and paratransit service for Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties. Four core routes run multiple times per weekday, while a variety of other routes feature two loops per weekday or provide service only on particular days of the week. The Mansfield University of Pennsylvania shuttle is also operated by the agency.

Green Mountain Community Network (GMCN) is a private, nonprofit organization, that owns and operates the public transit system by local bus in Bennington County in southwestern Vermont called the Green Mountain Express. Their bus service currently has 3 local "fixed deviated" weekday routes in Bennington: the Red, Blue and Brown routes, which can deviate up to 1/4 mile from their alignment upon request. They also have two local Saturday routes, and three commuter routes: the Orange Line, with weekday plus Saturday service to Manchester; the Purple Line, with weekday service to Williamstown, Massachusetts; and the Emerald line, with weekday service to Wilmington. The Emerald Line is a partnership between West Dover-based Southeast Vermont Transit's "the MOOver" and GMCN.

The Brazos Transit District, branded as The District, is the primary provider of mass transportation in a 16-county area of East Texas. The agency was established in 1974 as the Brazos Valley Transit Authority, with the primary purpose of providing fixed routes for Bryan and College Station, plus rural demand response service. Today, two separate urban areas feature fixed routes, Paratransit, Demand and Response plus a series of commuter buses for several Houston suburbs. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 294,700, or about 1,400 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority</span>

The Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority is the primary provider of mass transportation in a six county region of northeastern South Carolina. The agency was established in 1974 as the state's first public transit agency that was managed by a multi-county board instead of a single municipality. Originally, the bureau's duty was to provide demand response service for qualified workers, but in 1988, the first fixed routes were established in Florence. Currently, six routes run through the urban areas of that city, and in March 2010, service expanded from weekday-only to Monday through Saturday.

Tulare County Area Transit (TCaT) was the county-operated bus agency providing service between cities and local community circulator routes in Tulare County, California; transit within the larger cities was provided by agencies operated by those communities, including Dinuba (DART), Porterville (Porterville Transit), Tulare (TIME), and Visalia (Visalia Transit); connections are provided to Delano (DART) in neighboring Kern County.
