Suneil Anand (born 30 June 1956) is an Indian actor [1] and film director. He is the son of actors Dev Anand [2] and Kalpana Kartik. He runs Navketan Films.
He was born in 1956 in Zurich, Switzerland, while his parents were on their way to attend the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, where he was the youngest delegate.
He has a degree in Business Administration [2] from American University, Washington, D.C.
His uncles are Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand. His cousins are Indian Film director Ketan Anand, Vivek Anand, Indian actor and film-maker Shekhar Kapoor, Neelu, and Aruna. Neelu was married to actor Navin Nischol, while Aruna is married to Parikshit Sahni, son of Balraj Sahni.
He has acted in Anand aur Anand (1984), [3] Car Thief (1986), Main Tere Liye (1988), and Master (2001). [4]
His first directorial venture, Master, a martial arts film, was released in 2001. In 2014 he began work on a Hollywood Movie, Vagator Mixer. [5]

Shekhar Kulbhushan Kapur is an Indian filmmaker. Born into the Anand-Sahni family, Kapur is the recipient of several accolades, including a BAFTA Award, a National Film Award, a National Board of Review Award and three Filmfare Awards, in addition to nomination for a Golden Globe Award.

At the time of its release, the film was an average grosser, but over the years, it has gained a cult status and is regarded as a classic.
Prem Pujari is a 1970 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film produced, directed and written by Dev Anand for Navketan Films, his directorial debut. The movie stars Dev Anand, Waheeda Rehman, Shatrughan Sinha, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri and a then-unknown Amrish Puri. It has several popular songs composed and directed by S. D. Burman. The songs were written by Gopaldas Neeraj. The film was a commercial failure. However, the music album is regarded as a masterpiece among classical Hindi film music aficionados, particularly the songs "Shokhiyon Mein Ghola Jaye" sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, "Phoolon Ke Rang Se" sung by Kishore Kumar and "Rangeela Re Tere Rang Mein" sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Started in 1949 by actor-director and producer Dev Anand and his elder brother Chetan Anand, whose debut film, Neecha Nagar, received the Palme d'Or award, at the first ever Cannes Film Festival in 1946. Younger brother Vijay Anand, also directed numerous films for the company, like Guide (1965), Jewel Thief (1967) and Johny Mera Naam (1970). Chetan and Vijay parted ways with company later and today Dev's son Suneil Anand is currently heading the production house. The last film released by Navketan films was Chargesheet in 2011. Navketan’s latest venture is a Hollywood film titled Vagator Mixer (2023) which is being directed by Suneil Anand. It stars Suneil in the lead with a host of Hollywood actors.
