Sunil Walford Ambris (born 23 March 1993) is a Vincentian professional cricketer who has played for the Windward Islands and the Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket,as well as representing the St Lucia Zouks franchise in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He was the first player to be dismissed hit-wicket twice in consecutive Tests and the first to be dismissed hit-wicket on test debut. Sunil's middle name of Walford derives from former St.George Dragons Rugby League great Ricky Walford,his parents both being huge fans of the club.
At the 2012–13 Caribbean Twenty20,Ambris played two matches for the Combined Campuses,against the Leeward Islands and Jamaica. [1] His first-class debut came during the 2013–14 Regional Four Day Competition,when he played for the Windward Islands against Guyana. [2] In his first innings,Ambris scored 114 runs from 200 balls,eventually being named man of the match. [3] He finished his debut season with 468 runs from six matches,making him the Windwards' leading run-scorer behind Devon Smith. [4]
In March 2017,during the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition,he scored a double century for the Windward Islands against the Leeward Islands. [5] In the 2016–17 Regional Super50,he was the top run-scorer for the Windward Islands,scoring more than double the number of runs of any of his teammates,with 423 in total. [6]
In October 2018,Cricket West Indies (CWI) awarded him a development contract for the 2018–19 season. [7] [8]
Ambris played for the West Indies under-19s at the 2012 Under-19 World Cup in Australia. [9] Against Papua New Guinea,he scored 91 from 43 balls,including nine fours and seven sixes. [10]
In June 2017,he was added to the West Indies One Day International (ODI) squad,ahead of the third match against India,but he did not play. [11] He made his ODI debut for the West Indies against England on 29 September 2017,scoring an unbeaten 38 from 27 balls. [12]
In November 2017,he was named in the West Indies Test squad for their series against New Zealand. [13] He made his Test debut for the West Indies against New Zealand on 1 December 2017 and became the sixth batsmen to be out hit wicket off the first ball,and the first to be dismissed in this manner on Test debut. [14] [15] In the second innings,he opened his account with a six and became only the sixth batsman in Test cricket to do so. [16] On 10 December 2017,he got out hit wicket again in the first innings of the second Test against New Zealand [17] and became the first player to be dismissed hit-wicket twice in consecutive Tests. [18] In the second innings,he retired hurt (not out) after he fractured his forearm. [19]
In May 2019,Cricket West Indies (CWI) named him as one of ten reserve players in the West Indies' squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. [20] [21] On 24 June 2019,Ambris was added to the West Indies's squad,after Andre Russell was ruled out of the team with a knee injury. [22]
In June 2020,Ambris was named as one of eleven reserve players in the West Indies' Test squad,for their series against England. [23] The Test series was originally scheduled to start in May 2020,but was moved back to July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [24]
Sunil Dhaniram is a former Canadian cricketer and a former captain of the national team,who played ODIs and T20Is. He formerly played for Guyana from 1993 to 1995. He made his Canadian debut on 2 October 2003 playing against the Windward Islands. He made his ODI debut for Canada on 16 May 2006 against Zimbabwe,and has played 44 ODIs in his career. He has also played for Canada in seven ICC Intercontinental Cup games,and represented them in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
Shane Shillingford is a West Indian cricketer who plays first-class and List A cricket for the Windward Islands and Test cricket for the West Indies cricket team. On 4 March 2021 it was announced that Shillingford has joined Home Counties Premier League,Division 1 side Buckingham Town.

Darren Michael Bravo is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies. A left-handed batsman,his batting style has drawn comparisons with Brian Lara. Bravo is the younger half brother of fellow West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo and his mother is the first cousin of former cricketer Brian Lara. Bravo was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.

Shannon Terry Gabriel is a Trinidadian cricketer who internationally plays cricket for West Indies cricket team. He is a fast bowler. He quickly became a key member of the Trinidad and Tobago attack after his debut in 2010. Following a neck injury to Ravi Rampaul,which forced him out of the match,Gabriel made his Test match debut for West Indies in May 2012,against England at Lord's. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 21 June 2016 against Australia. He is the first player to bat at No.12 in a Test match.
Tagenarine Brandon Chanderpaul is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for Guyana in first-class cricket. He is a left-hand opening batsman. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in November 2022. He is the eldest son of West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He played the role of cricketer Larry Gomes in the Bollywood film 83.
The Saint Lucia national cricket team represents the country of Saint Lucia in cricket. The team is a member of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control,which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board. Players from St Lucia generally represent the Windward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. St Lucia has however played as a separate entity in matches which held Twenty20 status,but has not appeared in first-class or List A cricket. St Lucia competes with St Vincent &the Grenadines,Grenada and Dominica in domestic Windward Islands cricket competitions including the Windward Islands two-day and Twenty20 cricket championships. The team's captain,as of 2014,is Craig Emmanuel.
Shai Diego Hope is a Barbadian cricketer,who plays as a wicketkeeper/batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is also the current ODI captain of the Windies. In June 2018,he was named the Men's Cricketer of the Year,Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies' Awards. The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world. Hope has also twice been named,for both 2020 and 2022,in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.

A right-arm fast bowler,he plays for Leeward Islands and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in West Indian domestic cricket. He also currently plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League. In 2016,Joseph was named Antigua and Barbuda Sportsman of the Year award. During his under-19 career,Joseph helped the West Indies win the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The West Indies cricket team toured England in August and September 2017 to play three Test matches competing for the Wisden Trophy,one Twenty20 International (T20I) and five One Day Internationals (ODIs).
The West Indies cricket team toured New Zealand in December 2017 and January 2018 to play two Tests,three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Three Tests were originally planned,but it was reduced to two by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to conform to the expected tour make-up when the ICC World Test Championship is implemented. He made his List A debut for the West Indies A against the England Lions in a tri-series on 28 June 2018.
