SuperYacht Business was a yachting magazine published by TI Media six times a year. It is edited by Juliet Benning. [2] [3]

History

In an interview with the Guardian newspaper in 2002 IPC Media's chief executive, Sly Bailey, blamed the economic downturn for a fall in sales in their portfolio of magazines with a focus on luxury brands, such as super yachts. [4]

<i>Rising Sun</i> (yacht) Motor yacht built by Lürssen

Rising Sun is a motor yacht designed by Jon Bannenberg, and built in 2004 by Germany's Lürssen at their Bremen shipyard for Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corporation, and last refitted in 2007. Rising Sun has been owned since 2010 by David Geffen, who had bought a half share of the yacht initially in late 2006.

Sunseeker International is a British luxury performance motor yacht brand. Originally named Poole Power Boats, the company was founded by brothers Robert and John Braithwaite in 1969. The company changed its name to Sunseeker International in 1985 and has since become a global icon. Its headquarters and main assembly facility is in Poole Harbour, at Poole in Dorset, England. Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group has owned the company since 2013. It is the largest UK-based luxury yacht maker measured by 2012 revenues.

Christina O is a private motor yacht that once belonged to billionaire Greek shipowner Aristotle Onassis. At 99.13 metres long, she is the 59th largest yacht in the world as of 2022.

<i>Limitless</i> (luxury yacht) Private superyacht

Limitless is one of the world's largest private superyachts. It was built in 1997 by German shipmaker Lürssen, with exterior design by the noted Jon Bannenberg and collaborator Jonathan Quinn Barnett, and interior design by François Catroux. The overall length is 96.25 m, the width 12.50 m (41 ft.). It is powered by two engines of 5,420 kW each, reaching a speed of 25 knots, and was the first yacht to feature a combination of diesel and diesel-electric propulsion. Limitless is owned by Les Wexner, an American businessman who is currently chairman and former CEO of the L Brands corporation.

Andrew Winch is an internationally known English yacht designer based in Barnes, London. He has been selected as one of two design teams for business jet interior development of the Boeing 787.

<i>Nahlin</i> (yacht) British luxury yacht

Nahlin is a luxury yacht and one of the last of three large steam yachts constructed in the UK. She was built for Lady Yule, film financier and horse breeder, and was launched in 1930. She is owned by British industrial entrepreneur Sir James Dyson, who purchased her from Lord Bamford, Chairman of JCB. The name Nahlin is taken from a Native American word meaning "fleet of foot" and the yacht has a figurehead depicting a Native American wearing a feathered headdress beneath the bowsprit.

<i>Al Mirqab</i> (yacht)

Al Mirqab is owned by Qatar's former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. The yacht was built at Peters Schiffbau Wewelsfleth yard in Germany. The yacht's architect was Tim Heywood, while the interior design was done by Andrew Winch Designs. During construction, the yacht was known as Project May.

<i>Azzam</i> (2013 yacht) Private super yacht

Azzam is a private super yacht built by German shipyard Lürssen Yachts. Azzam was launched on 5 April 2013. At 180 metres (590 ft) in length, it is the longest private motor yacht in the world. It has a beam of 20.8 metres (68 ft) and an unusually shallow draft of 4.3 m. The yacht was delivered on 9 September 2013.

Jonathan Quinn Barnett is an American super yacht designer from Seattle, Washington. He apprenticed with Ron Holland and Jon Bannenberg for nearly seven years beginning in 1987, and founded Jonathan Quinn Barnett Ltd. in 1995.

Heesen Yachts is a Dutch ship building company that specialises in custom built superyachts. Founded in 1978, it has launched more than 170 yachts since its inception, many of which have won awards. Dilbar is a super-yacht launched on 14 November 2015 at the German Lürssen shipyard and delivered in 2016. She was built as Project Omar. The interior design of Dilbar was designed by Andrew Winch and the exterior by Espen Oeino.

International sanctions have been imposed during the Russo-Ukrainian War by a large number of countries, including the United States, Canada, the European Union and a number of international organisations against Russia, Crimea and Belarus following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began in late February 2014. These sanctions were imposed against individuals, businesses and officials from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
