Suresh Khopade

Suresh Abaji Khopade (born 1 June 1951) is an Indian writer and a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. He is a pioneer of community policing initiatives in the state of Maharashtra. He is well known for safeguarding then hyper-sensitive town Bhiwandi during the 1992 communal Riots. [1] He is a recipient of the President's Medal for Gallantry in 1993. [2] He retired as Special Inspector General of CID. [3]

He also has established a conceptual school near a small village Morgaon in Baramati taluk of Pune District, named 'Koodachi shala', which is not a school in traditional sense, but a place which can best be described as a tourist point for school-going children. Many schools visit this place to have an interesting learning experience about all spheres of life.

On 13 March 2014 he was named as an Aam Aadmi Party candidate for Baramati South Lok Sabha constituency. [4] [5]

Suresh Gopi is an Indian actor, politician, playback singer and television presenter. Naan is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film written and directed by Jeeva Shankar in his directorial debut. Composer Vijay Antony plays the lead role of a psychopathic killer; he also produced the film and worked as the music director. Siddharth Venugopal and Rupa Manjari appeared in supporting roles. The filming of Naan began in April 2010, and the film was released on 15 August 2012. The movie was remade in Bengali in 2015 as Amanush 2 and in Kannada in 2016 as Asthitva. Naroda Patiya massacre Massacre during the 2002 Gujarat riots

The Naroda Patiya massacre took place on 28 February 2002 at Naroda, in Ahmedabad, India, during the 2002 Gujarat riots. 97 Muslims were killed by a mob of approximately 5,000 people, organised by the Bajrang Dal, a wing of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, and allegedly supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party which was in power in the Gujarat State Government. The massacre at Naroda occurred during the bandh (strike) called by Vishwa Hindu Parishad a day after the Godhra train burning. The riot lasted over 10 hours, during which the mob looted, stabbed, sexually assaulted, gang-raped and burnt people individually and in groups. After the conflict, a curfew was imposed in the state and army troops were called in to contain further violence.

Action Hero Biju is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language Comedy drama film directed by Abrid Shine. The film stars Nivin Pauly, Anu Emmanuel, Saiju Kurup, Joju George, Alexander Prasanth, Kalabhavan Prajod, Rony David and Sohan Seenulal. Kavaludaari will be the first feature film presentation from the production house. Varane Avashyamund is a 2020 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Anoop Sathyan and produced by Dulquer Salmaan. The film stars Suresh Gopi, Dulquer Salmaan, Shobana and Kalyani Priyadarshan. It has music by Alphons Joseph. Principal photography began on 1 October 2019 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The film was released on 7 February 2020. It was a comeback movie for Suresh Gopi in acting after a gap of five years. The movie also witnessed Suresh Gopi and Shobana, reuniting after 15 years.Shobana won Best Actress Award at 10th South Indian International Movie Awards, while Anoop Sathyan won Best Debut Director, Kalyani Priyadarshan won Best Debut Actress and Johny Antony won Best Actor in a Comedy Role titles at the same Event.
