Sarah Elizabeth Robles is an American weightlifter. She qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and earned a bronze medal in weightlifting at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, becoming the first US athlete to medal in Olympic weightlifting in 16 years. She repeated her feat in the +87 kg category at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, once again earning bronze, and becoming the first US woman to earn two Olympic weightlifting medals.
Gareth Irfon Evans is a British weightlifter. He has competed in the 62 kg and 69 kg weight categories, and was selected to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics.

Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. Born in Kakching Khunou, Kakching district, Manipur, she is a two time Commonwealth Games Champion. Chanu won the gold medals at the 2014 Glasgow and the 2018 Gold Coast events in the women's 48 kg and 53 kg weight category respectively. She holds the Commonwealth Games record of 84 kg for the Snatch segment in the latter weight category.
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. She won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Women's 49 kg category. Mirabai Chanu has won the World Championships and multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games. She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions to the sport. She was awarded the sporting honour Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna by the Government of India in 2018.
The Women's 53 kg weightlifting event was the second-lightest women's event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, limiting competitors to a maximum of 53 kilograms (117 lb) of body mass. The competition took place on 25 July and was the first weightlifting event to conclude. The event took place at the Clyde Auditorium.
Santoshi Matsa is an Indian weightlifter who won the silver medal in the women's 53 kg weight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow. Matsa had originally finished in bronze medal position, but the gold medal winner Chika Amalaha of Nigeria failed a drug test, elevating Matsa to silver medal position. Santoshi lifted a total of 188 kg — 83 kg in snatch and 105 in clean and jerk.
Chika Joy Amalaha is a Nigerian weightlifter. In 2019 she tested positive for metenolone and is banned until 2027 by the International Weightlifting Federation.
Punam Yadav is an Indian weightlifter who won Bronze medal in the women's 63 kg weight class at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, where the gold medal was won by Olauwatoyin Adesanmi of Nigeria. She also won a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia.
Fares Ibrahim Saed Hassouna El-Bakh, commonly known as Meso Hassouna, is a Qatari weightlifter, Olympic Champion and two time Junior World Champion competing in the 85 kg, and 94 kg categories until 2018 and 96 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories.
