Syagrus sehranus is a species of leaf beetle from Algeria. [4] It is a replacement name introduced by N. A. Aslam in 1968 for Syagrus viridicollis Pic, 1942, a junior homonym of Syagrus viridicollis Pic, 1940 (now known as Paraivongius viridicollis ). [1] [5] It was first described from the locality of Adrar des Ifoghas by Maurice Pic in 1942. [3] No further records of the species have been published since Pic's description. [2]

Afroeurydemus selmani is a species of leaf beetle of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was originally described by Brian J. Selman in 1972 as Afroeurydemus signatus. In 2019, this species became a homonym of Afroeurydemus signatus(Pic, 1940), a species formerly placed in Syagrus and moved to Afroeurydemus by Stefano Zoia. Selman's species was then renamed to Afroeurydemus selmani.

It was originally described as a species of the genus Syagrus. It was transferred to the genus Microeurydemus in 2023. No further records of the species have been published since Pic's description.

Rhembastus Genus of leaf beetles

Rhembastus is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae, native to Africa. Whilst the taxonomy of the genus is disputed, the genus has been suggested as a biological control agent for Bryophyllum delagoense in Australia.

Syagrus is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae. They are known from the mainland of Africa. They are often attracted by plants in the family Malvaceae; Syagrus rugifrons and Syagrus calcaratus are pests of cotton. The larvae of Syagrus calcaratus attack the roots of the plant and cause it to wilt.

Afroeurydemus Genus of leaf beetles from Africa

Afroeurydemus is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae, found in Africa. The genus was separated from Eurydemus in 1965 by Brian J. Selman, who moved all African species of Eurydemus he had seen to this genus or related African genera and considered it likely that Eurydemus was restricted to Fiji. Many species were also originally placed in Syagrus.
