He was the Sajjada nashin of Dargah Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, founder of the Ashrafi Sufi Order. Syed died on 21 November 1996 in Ashrafpur Kichhauchha and is buried near dargah of Ashraf Jahangir Semnani.
